Off-road diesel in new tier4 tractor.

Hello all. I just picked up a 2015 branson tractor with tier4 emissions (dpf filter) and was just curious if anyone had thoughts or experience running off-road diesel with the new tractors? Any issues?

The only difference between on-road and off-road is the die. The fuel is the same ULSD the you can find at any pump.

The only problem I have had with OR besides beig harder to find is that it doesn't sell as well and may be lagging to keep up with the seasons.

No reason at all not to run off road fuel, other than it will save you money!

Dye, tax, but off road has higher sulfur content is the main difference. if the engine runs ok you may have problems later, including the dpf filter. I would follow Mfg instructions

Do you have a source for that? That allegation has been made several times, and has always been disproved

Not here.
Buddy just got an $800 fine for using 'off road' on his private property in his tractor. (not even plated for road use)
In Quebec they call it 'stationary' rather than off road and only a generator is exempt.

He had a partial building fire and the insurance ordered him to empty the fuel oil tank to avoid spillage.
Where else but to use it in his tractor.
