Beer + supercharged jet boat. What could go wrong?:laughing:

We only crashed badly when I let my size zero, beautiful blonde cheerleader girlfriend ski. Driver was watching her instead of ahead. We did a bermshot right turn off of a limestone canyon cliff wall. Another 1 of my 9 lives the good Lord let us all escape with just a few scrapes and bruises.

Another beautiful spring day is almost over as the sun is about to set.

Up at 1AM to drive to meet my son and turkey hunt near the VA/NC border. Saw at least 200 deer on the drive - most I've ever seen along that road.

I finally got the boss tom around 9AM after quite a bit of calling and waiting. It would be a lot easier if they came into my bird feeders like your pic, Ron, but baiting is illegal in Virginia, and if they came to my bird feeders, I'd rather watch them and listen to them, too, than hunt them anyway. One interesting thing happened at about sunrise - a red tail hawk flew in and landed next to my hen decoy...looked at it for a couple of seconds and took off.

How many of those 9 lives you have left?

Very good question. I'm trying to hold on to this one as long as I can.

A few days ago in Austin, an emergency helicopter was trying to rescue a woman with a broken leg. She had broken it on a remote trail . While hoisting her out, a female rescue nurse fell out of the helicopter and died. Sad story.

Gary, yes.
Seems requirements vary about every state I've lived. Funny thing, when I was a teen, 50 years ago, passing the state inspection in Maine was tougher than here.
In Ga, the emissions tests was a challenge. This truck is a 2012, so hopefully no problems.

Living close to Detroit we cross border shop and there must be no inspection in Michigan because some of the cars I see on the road over there, the junk yard wouldn't take.

Kyle, Our prayers are with you. I had some issues when I was a kid, and kids can be cruel.

Just want to let everyone know that our little Finnly has had a GREAT week at school. We thought we were going to have to pull her out, but all the ladies (principal, her optional teacher, counselor, & special ed administrator) and us, had a good meeting about it. After a good cry by all, they really bent over backwards to accommodate changes to her curriculum. She will be pulled out of the mainstream class for studies. She will join the mainstream for class activities and outside class stuff like art, music and computer classes. They put her back on her previous bus where the ladies who drive it just love Finnly to bits. We told her about these changes last Friday after the meeting and she was happy. They are going to give her special counseling each week, along with her previous speech and occupational therapies.

Come Monday, she was eager to get on the bus, had a great day at school, earned the highest conduct color possible, and the same for Tuesday. Came home in a great mood instead of crying and afraid of home punishment for getting bad conduct grade. I know the Lord has his hand right smackdab in the middle of her education and well being.

Thank you all for the prayers. We have our happy child back.

Just had 2 cars in for emission inspections this month. Another EPA mandated way to suck cash out of the wallet. Something like 99% of the vehicles pass, but everyone required to pay to catch the 1%.

It has been my favorite post of the week. Its hard to write about all the small negative nuance things that were traumatizing her, and there's not enough room online without writing a novel, but I can honestly say that things have totally changed 180 degrees since the prior week.

We are blessed.
