Drinking fist cup of coffee. 52° with fog this morning. Heading to 82° with mostly sunny skies. Need to get pump and filters hookuped to Garden Pond before it turns green. That should keep me busy most of the day.

Upper 80's lately and today and grass is growing faster than I can cut it. While I still can recall those colder temps of the long winter, it's amazing how a few weeks of warmer weather pushes the bad memories aside like they were maybe a dream. They were a dream, right?

61 this morning high of 80 later today. Big storms came thru yesterday about 6:15 heavy rain wind and lots of bolts and loud thunder

State has posted no burn until we get some much needed rain.
Male turkeys filling morning air w/there love songs again female paying little attention.
Today my Friday kinda mean nice 4 day weekend again,which also means puttering on Mrs. garden sites next couple days.

After a little head scratching and fiddling, finally got some better surface finishes for the turned bushings. Much higher speeds and lower feeds were called for by the experts, and they were by and large correct. Also played a bit with tool height, and was able to hold closer tolerances as a result. Still a little rougher on the inside of the bushings than I would have liked, but I think only a stiffer boring bar would help.

You look to be doing a really good job there.

My first full-time job was as an apprentice with an industrial electric motor manufacturer. They were fanatical about the tolerance and finish they wanted on the rotor shaft for steel bearings. All were first turned on a lathe, then finished to the last 10th of a thou on a grinder to a mirror finish. Silent running motors used bronze sleeves instead of ball bearings. They were intentionally not mirrored, they were "rough" finished, so the rotor stayed lubricated by a very thin film of oil.

I think you are being too modest, your bushes aren't rough work, they are skilfully machined circumferential textured grooves to hold the grease :thumbsup:

After a couple of wet and very windy days we should be back to something more pleasant with only a couple of showers due in later.

Today is polling day in the UK, we get to choose a member of parliament (MP) for each area of the country we live in by a simple majority vote.

One or two MPs may be independent of any political affiliation, the rest will all represent political parties. Chances are no single party will have enough MPs to make a majority and form a government, so we could end up with a coalition of dissimilar parties. That sort of worked last time with once bunch curbing the worst excesses of the other. Anything that gets them to behave less like career politicians and more like decent human beings would be welcome in my books. We shall see. TV, radio and even the farming paper I get each week has been full of politics. Thank goodness it will soon be all over.

I can see why they want the trail cams, saves them having to stand around waiting to see a human.
