The WICKED Root & Debris GRAPPLE!!!!!!!

A grapple is on my dream list...
In poking around, I found the Land Pride SGS1566, and really liked the tines. They are very thin in height.
Then I saw the weight of the grapple, and it's 250+lbs heaver than the 66" wicked..... So much for that.

Anyway, does anyone find the height of the bottom tines to be a hindrance on the EA Wicked Grapple?
Why do you think the height of the bottom tines would be a concern?

I guess I just envisioned picking up "stuff" like it was a big fork. If my fork's tines were thick, I'd find it harder to pick up that last bit of stuff.
Maybe not, I dunno (that's why I asked, DUH!!).

Sounds logical, but dinner forks don't have top lids like a grapple.

For trees or brush, drive forward and close the top lids.

For rocks, angle down and slide under. :D

Or use the lids to pick them up .

Not a big surprise to see Xfaxman with some pictures....
and of course a thank you goes to him for the same.

Guess that answers my question. Back to just dreaming of having one...

Kinda spent my "budget" when a LP Land Plane came up on CL last week. I won't get it for another couple weeks though. =(

Nice visual Xfaxman.

Here's a short review of the 66" Wicked Grapple from Bob in CO. It is installed on his L4060 Kubota.

"I have been abusing this thing for nearly 2 years and yet to do anything to it. I grease it regularly, but other than that, I use it as a root rake, a log hauler, a slash mover and a stump puller. Nothing but kudos. I'd definitely buy it again."

What do yall have for a 5 series deere with h240 loader. Global/euro connector? Also, how much extra is shipping to 77868, I googled it and I'm a hair outside the 1000 mile range

The best one that we offer for your tractor would be the WR Long OBG1. The 72" weighs 685 pounds....not too light, not too heavy. What I wouldn't want on your particular tractor is a grapple any heavier.
Shipping to a commercial address at your zip or to the Fed-Ex terminal in Somerville would be $100.

When we make a heavier Wicked Grapple for utility tractors/skid steers, it should be available with the 400/500 series JD mount as well as the Euro/Global but i'm not sure when that will be.

Sounds like a great time to get started on it then! I can do the testing for you. I'll even drive to a Houston terminal if needed. Looking forward to getting one! :D

Kinda overkill IMO. The h240 doesn't even lift as much as my Kioti KL401 and I've been fine with a 48" 320lb light duty grapple for over seven years with no issues.

Why 72"? Need a good reason for that as otherwise a narrower grapple weighs less so has bigger net payload and is also more maneuverable and can dig more effectively. No rule that says a grapple should be same width as standard bucket.

I'd go for the new medium duty EA ??54 or 60 that uses the same upper jaw as the EA light duty 54".
