Here is the "old" Wicked Root Grapple working at night feeding a brush fire.

Every witch's dream.

Hope you do a thread on your camera setup.

You're calling your Wicked Grapple "old", even after it incredibly survived your negligence with flying colors in the not so distant past??
Travis

Yeah, but I bet you guys never thought to test your hydraulics this way. All part of the rigorous negligence at my Minnesota testing facility.

This was the second time debris has popped that handle. The first time was last year, and I dropped a bucket. Now that I see a pattern, I'm going to install a hold down chain with a clip so that the level cannot move to the release position.

I just use one of the trucker solid "bungee" cords about 18" long. I welded a little loop on the end of the SSQA handle and put a bungee hook there, run the bungee down around the tubular cross piece and then back to the handle loop.

The bungee serves another purpose too. When I open the SSQA handle, I take one of the hooks and attach it to the bucket level indicator sleeve. That keeps the handle from dropping while I am maneuvering the tractor to pick up the next implement.

I think that chain you have will bounce around.

Here's a review of our 66" Wicked Grapple that was just submitted:

"I wanted to follow up with the EA grapple 66". I received the product yesterday (well I picked it up from Yellow Freight terminal). I am so amazed with the quality of this product. The pictures and the videos do not do it justice. I pretty much stood looking at it for 20 minutes, admiring the craftsmanship of it. I already had a nosy neighbor come by to check out the grapple. Thanks for living up to the quality that I was expecting, not many companies these days give you more than you ask for. Cheers, Erik"

When are you making the wicked for CTL and skid steers?

I'll try to get a good answer from Ted and let you know.

If you need something soon, the CA Xtreme Duty Root Grapple is similar in design(because Ted's brother makes it) and has a good price for a top quality industrial strength grapple.

Here's a review on the 66" Wicked Grapple that was just submitted:

Hi Guys, I just took delivery of a wicked root grapple after about 6 months of investigating all products new and used. After removing the plactic cover used for shipping I new I had made the right decision going with EA. Obviously this was no toy and made to take a beating. This past weekend I used it for the first time and was continued to be impressed. I spent about 10 hours removing brush piles that had accumulated around my 20 acres. In one day it paid for itself removing literally tons of debris. I just want you to know how impressed I am with the product and ease of purchase. Keep up the good work and the next time I am in the market for an implement I will go straight to EA. Thanks again.

A grapple is on my dream list...
In poking around, I found the Land Pride SGS1566, and really liked the tines. They are very thin in height.
Then I saw the weight of the grapple, and it's 250+lbs heaver than the 66" wicked..... So much for that.

Anyway, does anyone find the height of the bottom tines to be a hindrance on the EA Wicked Grapple?

I don't know why it would be.. just angle down the grapple to make them as low as 0. you can dump down to deftly pick up anything you want, and pick it straight up if you want.
