Comparison Kubota 5740 or Mahindra or Kioti

I would think that the replaced part has some sort of warranty now. So if the seal gives again within a set time, its covered. The rest of the tractor may be out of warranty, but the new seal should have some sort of guarantee.

Unfortunately that is not the case. Tractor or seal goes again and it is my cost. I agree with you guys that keeping the Kubota is probably my best bet. That said I really like that shiny new red tractor. :) Anyone have an idea of how much the wheel weights cost? As far as Kubota covering the repair I agree that was good of them. However this seal should have been a recal and I met a guy today that was trading in his Kubota where Kubota would not cover his out of warranty tractor with the sasamleak.

When can I show up and take that miserable Kubota off of your hands for real cheap? :D

I think the $4,000 estimate to fix it is very high. Even at $100 an hour that would be 40 hours.

I agree but then I always feel the dealerships are high. Ended up costing around $4k.

You mentioned that you want something bigger and more capable than the 5740, but really want the HST, and you missed the auto throttle of the HST+ when test driving.

This sounds a lot like what I've been mulling over for quite some time now. I looked at the specs of every HST tractor out there and not one of the standard CUT's has appreciably more lift capacity than I currently have, nor weight. (I have the same frame size and loader as you).

There is one tractor (not a typical CUT) that has impressive specs and enormous lift capacity, plus the HST+ and considerably more weight that seems like it would fit your needs.

Have you looked at Kubota's M59 yet? It's a dedicated TLB with 3 point hitch and from the sounds of it, surpasses every other thing out there with HST. You can get it as a tractor/loader without the backhoe if you have no need for the backhoe.

Anyways, you may find that fits your needs better than any other tractors your looking at, plus it would be a serious upgrade from the 5740, not a lateral move.

Agree... The m59 is a sweet machine.

OP... Are you looking at cab or open station?

Open station as I can't have anything higher then 80 inches. Checking out the M59.

Yeah, its sweet, but a new one tractor loader only will set the OP back at least 35K, WAY more than that GL will sell for. Even used will be more than the GL, then it's not new. Don't some of the smaller Ms come with HST+?
