It goes on a really good sale then you add a 20% off coupon. If really lucky you hit on a 25% off coupon. Like most things I buy from there, I only do it when I can get a super deal.

All hail the tool snob! Why consider someone buying only what one needs or can afford when you can claim how superior your tools are?! I see your welding table and raise you a $2000 industrial helical planetary gear swingbar wrench for my $5000 tractor's wheels!! Pooh pooh upon your lowly Guangzhou Pneumatic impact wrench with it's inferior ring-type socket retainer on it's crude anvil with..gasp!..machining marks!! It's irrelevant I use an industrial wrench suitable for daily production at Caterpillar only once every five years, my dog is sufficiently impressed.

Nice.
Is this your usual way of "contributing" here?
I try to keep people from spending their hard earned dough on cheap junk.
I see too much of that stuff bent and twisted in the city recycling dumpster.
Saw what looked like a nearly new wire feed welder in there a couple of weeks ago.
Some fellow probably thought it would be good enough for home use but it wasn't. Some no-name thing he couldn't get parts to repair so he scrapped it. I just hope he finished his project before it crapped out on him.
I don't often buy new tools. I have bought them used, a piece at a time at auctions, flea markets, yard sales and the like over the last 40 years. I buy good tools. Not just some cheap stuff to get by with.
I'm proud of my tools and don't mind showing them off - even bragging about them. Like a guy might with a nice hand gun or motorcycle, boat or old car.
You may like cheap stuff that folds up on you when you try to use it or wrenches that mar bolts or chisels that splinter or punches that bend or shatter.
I don't think you can do good work with those kinds of tools.
Maybe you do.
Maybe crude tools and crude work are good enough for you. Maybe quality isn't in your dictionary and craftsmanship not your focus.
That's ok with me.
I'll try not to disparage you for it.

None of this applies to the item that is the subject of this thread - an item that you are knocking based on price alone. Several members here actually own the product, and give an informed opinion of it's worth. You assume it's junk, based on your opinion of the vendor.

Nothing wrong with buying good tools. They are a pleasure to own and use. I have more than a few myself, but I don't confine myself to high quality - sometimes "good enough" really IS good enough. Yes, Harbor Freight sells some pure, unadulterated junk - and they refund for it without hesitation. OTOH, I have a air impact wrench from them that makes sense to me - it has handled every task I've had occasion to use it for without hesitation or complaint, and at a price I was willing to take a gamble on. As little as I use it, it will probably last me the rest of my life. The one that cost 10x as much would never get used to it's potential, and I would have lost the use of the difference in cash.

Dinner's ready - more later.

Here here!

Why spend +++$$ on a tool that will be used once or occasionally when a cheap tool that will do the SAME job for a fraction of the price can be purchased instead of showing off your "expensive" man toys to impress someone that really doesn't care in the first place; Foolishness! Hey if you need it for a living or work with it everyday no issues. Then again not my hard earned money spend away!

I agree. I often buy specialized tools at HF because I don't expect to use them much but have an occasional task that would clearly benefit. If the HF tool breaks, I reassess and decide whether it would be worthwhile upgrading or just getting another HF. I have only HF grinders because they work decently and cost a fifth what a good name brand version does. I can easily afford to own four HF grinders and keep different heads on each rather than have one "good" grinder which makes the HF more convenient too.

Buyer beware is the operative concept. If you accept the HF tools are not top notch they can still be the best bang for the buck.

To some of us older guys, a HF junk tool could last a life time.

Bought 2 HF tables last year

Love them!

It's NOT an ANVIL it's a fit-up/welding table!
