Pulling wire in conduit

I never pull wire. You go to all the work of digging the trench, installing the conduit, filling the trench and then work so hard on getting the wire through the conduit. It's just so much easier to dig the trench, unroll the wire next to the trench, slide the conduit over the wire and bury it once all the conduit is is in place.

Very true, the only thing to be careful about is PVC glue getting on the wire. I think if you are careful it's fine. When I have done this, I only put glue on the male end of the conduit, and kept it back from the lip about 1/2" or so. That way, when sliding the female end over, there shouldn't be a reason for the glue to get inside the conduit.

Used wire lube to pull the wire. The PIA is that size wire and especially 3 twisted together is like wrestling with a elephant trunk. But add in a hot humid day, mosquitos, ants, 2 snakes, muddy ground from an ungodly amount of rain we've had here, roots the size of your arm and people (neighbors mainly) stopping by but not offering to help.

Someone asked if I was missing a wire, no with electric from the rural coop here its 2 hot wires and a neutral.

You missed the ground and the conduit is undersized. Will not pass electrical inspection.

It must some local sub standard code . The a national building code in Ontario would have the inspector fail the installation. Depending on the wire 2-1/2 or 3" for most types of cable.

Texas Ken might be talking about 2 hots and a grounded conductor (neutral) being permissible as part of a service lateral conductor from the utility (and then the neutral is bonded to the premises' ground bus at the first disconnect) , whereas a 2 hots, neutral and a ground would be required when running a feeder circuit from a house panel to a sub panel in a auxiliary building.
