I never pull wire. You go to all the work of digging the trench, installing the conduit, filling the trench and then work so hard on getting the wire through the conduit. It's just so much easier to dig the trench, unroll the wire next to the trench, slide the conduit over the wire and bury it once all the conduit is is in place.

Very true, the only thing to be careful about is PVC glue getting on the wire. I think if you are careful it's fine. When I have done this, I only put glue on the male end of the conduit, and kept it back from the lip about 1/2" or so. That way, when sliding the female end over, there shouldn't be a reason for the glue to get inside the conduit.
