Bush Hog on Front of BX

If you put a drive shaft on it, how are you going to control keeping from lifting it too high by accident? Just curious. :)
Driveshaft would need sufficient overlap to accommodate FEL height adjustments. Would need a chain or something to limit the height the FEL could rise.

Might want to rig up a cushion of sorts so it doesn't scare you.

Or there are other options.

was thinking about mounting a 3 point hitch system on the front of my DA 5215 but was going to use a hydraulic motor to drive it as well as the snow blower.

I've seen youtube video of this in Europe. Search "deere 3520" "deere 3720". I cannot connect to youtube now or I would send the link. Not sure if there is a bush hog type, but I've seen the flail for sure.

So how would one go about getting this? This is obviously to big for a BX but I have an L series and would get this

try this web site: 48" Hydraulic Offset Flail Mower EFGCH125 - Value Leader Implements

The 48" would work on a BX. I have come to the most practical front drive solution I think; Use a flexible shaft from the BX MMM PTO and install a 1:5 speed reducer ahead of the mower gear box. $ $ $ the only problem. Their price is not much more than the LP I have. I can dream can't I!

I think you may be on the right track. This video may help with the linkage issues, you could just use a chain on the fel to raise/lower the whole unit. (yea, yea, I realize this one is hydro...)
