Stolen truck

You can see they dropped something outside where the car was parked, also did local law enforcement try enhancing the photo ? Good luck

Twas a cigar or cigarette. The driver got out of the car smoking, looks like he took a long drag at the front of the truck, and put it in his hand. After the truck left you could see a light on the ground and it went out.

Glad you got the truck back. Hopefully not much damage. Maybe they just wanted the sprayer....

I have a 2002 CC with a 7.3 and a six speed manual. It is not replaceable with a new truck and there were not many of them made.

Glad they found it. Not long after Katrina I had two vehicles broken into and robbed on separate occasions at Holiday Inns in the Houston area. Both times window smashed and tools taken. Second time was a rental F350. Cops said they were most likely looking for guns, laptops or cell phones.

Glad that you got it back. I'm not sure what you had for a sprayer, but hopefully it's easier to replace than your truck.

I can't think of many lower things to do then steal what a person needs to make a living.

If you can find the butt, a DNA match is possible.

I don't know if they would go to that much work for a stolen truck, but if the sprayer had toxic chemicals in it they might get excited about that.

Our crime rate after Katrina SKYROCKETED. Fortunately, Rita and Ike came along soon after and ran the riff raff out of town.

It was custom built by GNC but they can build me another one, it'll just take a month to get it, during the time of year that I need it most.

A yep. That was my thought. That butt has DNA if it can be found and the PD cares to spend the time investigating.

The officer that recovered it said there were several cigarette butts in the truck. He did dust it for prints and process it but he'll turn that over to Harris County and then it will be up to them to move forward. I still haven't heard from a Harris County detective, so...

That's great they are being proactive... unless it's a kidnap or violent... it wouldn't happen here.

You are definitely right about the crime rate after Katrina. But unfortunately, Rita and Ike didn't wash out all of the scumbags. I lived in Friendswood at that time... Five years AFTER Hurricane Ike there were still gangs (not families) living in the Holiday Inn there in Houston. The tab was STILL being picked up by Uncle Sam.

Every morning around 9:00 or 10:00, they would waltz out, in their African garb, to go have a free breakfast, shop for a while, then swing back for a free lunch. Leaving that golden nest was the last thing on their minds. You talk about abusing the aide foundations... you couldn't, and haven't, gotten rid of those deadbeats with dynamite.

No doubt they're still there and probably living in upscale housing (Government paid for), driving very nice Ford 7.3 CC trucks, and eating well on free meals. And probably selling paint spray systems on the side for drum money.
