8' disc behind L3540?

I pull an old 8' Tufline behind my L3240 but have to engage the 4 wd if the ground is a little heavy.

What is the diameter of the pans in your Tufline Disc Harrow? 18"?

Pans measure 19" front and rear, scalloped all around.

Ok, someone made mention of pulling the disc through a narrow passage, and with the trees I have here I've decided to try to find a decent 6-6 1/2' disc.

Whats anyone know about the Linebach line.I know they are now out of buisness, but I found a mildly uses 6 1/2 foot one ,heavy box construction, notched pans, with the big threaded adjusters for $1200, they even have a new one of the same but want $1600.. a little to rich for my blood.

As you adjust the disc gangs, total width of the Disc Harrow changes. The LESS aggressive, straighter, the gangs are set, the greater the total width of the implement.

Have you looked at everythingattachments?

If you go up to 7' you could get into their "large" line with 1 1/8" shaft and 4.5mm pans Be sure to look at disc thickness too, they very.. Lots of options with disc harrows..

I have their 24/20 and am happy with it. I prefer the design where the gangs protrude out of a solid side plate rather than the "sandwich" approach.

Yes I have.. the larger ones are getting way out of my price range ( I do this stuff for fun, I don't make money with it) the smaller ones are just a bit out of range, and then I would have to figure out how to get it here..
