The WICKED Root & Debris GRAPPLE!!!!!!!

FWIW, I would go with the lighter grapple with the CK and heavier with a DK or NX. Unless brush is the only thing you intend to grapple, it's best to maximize net lift capacity for the bigger rocks, stumps and logs you're going to deal with.

For what it's worth, if I had a ck 35 I would definitely go with the smaller lighter grapple. It is what I have on my DK35se and my lift capacity is several hundred lbs more than the CK.

That's pretty much the way I'm leaning too & for the same reasons.

Thank you both for the insight & info.

Well I done did order it. Did it online. Travis soon called me to nail down my hose/connector requirements. I think this is my fourth attachment from EA. They are a class act over there.

If I just can't handle the outer tines without loosing sleep, I can always modificate it. But I'm sure it will be fine. Often, my laziness wins out over my ideas.

IslandTractor, thanks for the offer. It has been your logical opinions about grapple width that pushed me in the narrower direction.

You'll be happy with your grapple. Everybody loves whatever grapple they have and,of course, any grapple mounted on your tractor is better than delaying and worrying about details that really don't amount to much in practice.

I used to keep the bucket on my FEL while brushhogging ... Today was the first time I used the grapple while brushhogging jobs. What a great addition. Being able to move small brush or down trees that contractors have scattered about is really a time saver.

Great for popping out rocks or small stumps so you don't hit them again next time too.

If I run across a big limb, from dead tree, or a downed dead tree I can use grapple to clean up and then continue mowing.

The grapple and whatever is attached is my "standard config" In fact, it has been awhile since I was in bucket mode, but that is coming with piling material on an existing septic system that is only 18" into the ground at the house I'm wintering at this year.
