I hope Roy did not deep, deep, deep sleep in. . . .

Nope...Comcast just wasn't cooperative this morning...

Beautiful day..73 right now and lovely. Got home about an hour ago. The crew here was working the grill. I had a small steak, grilled portobello 'shroom and peppers; and a tasty home made cole slaw. Quite yummy!!!

I think mine uses a quart every 7k miles, I'm checking it one more time. Since there is an oil changes every 7,500 mile you might not even notice it (I didn't until this last oil change when I drove a bunch of 75mph miles). I'm figuring on adding a quart in-between oil changes. My last vehicle - Toyota I never added oil but it required an oil change every 5,000 miles.

I'm still running dino oil and do an oil and filter change every June and December. Virtually no movement on the dipstick between changes. I think the manufacturer statement of up to a quart every 1250 miles is a warranty PYA disclaimer in case a lemon gets out.

good evening all. 79F sunny and very erratic wind this morning, made it to 102F, not sure what the heat index was but I'd guess warmer than 102 :) . Tree guy showed up this afternoon took down 6 elms next to the house that would likely fall on the roof in the event someone looked cross-eyed at them. Have to plant more robust trees than elm two or three anyway.

Looks like a nice cool day.
I was in a gun shop yesterday looking at a 12 gauge slug gun for deer hunting in Maryland. I noticed that the 22 long rifle ammo shortage appears to be over as they had boxes of 300 rounds for $23.00 and plenty of them.

51F. Mid-70's today & partly cloudy.

Roy I hope you aren't working this weekend.

I should be able to finish rebuilding the rock wall today.

Farmer2009, that's quite the water works you have in your barns. ~2 miles of piping! I see your storage building is coming along, that will be handy.

Poured first cup of coffee. 57° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 79° with partial sunshine. Got under pine trees trimmed yesterday. Both arms have nice scratches deep from tree limbs garbing shirt and skin. Back made it OK with no pain. Need to get at those trees with a chain saw. Friends coming today to do the local art fair. Milford Memories. But I will not be able to attend because UPS is delivering a package that requires a signature today. Just never know when they will show up.
Roy, glad it was only Comcast the caused you not to check in early. :D
Good Morning All.

67 and misty going to 75 and cloudy. Got only a small shower out of the big rain that passed south of us. But .08 better than nothing.

Finished my pruning yesterday, so now have made a dent in my to-do list this week. New one will be longer. That's just the way it is.

Hope Eric isn't out chasing sheep from his yard this morning.

good morning all, much cooler day, 72 only going up to 82 in rain this afternoon. Got enough rain last night to green the lawn; maybe today's will do a little more good. But I'm out watering fruit trees anyway.

I have the entire driveway to weedeat this morning so that later this weekend when it dries out I can put down Roundup on the bits of grass coming through along the edges. Poor paving job, edges breaking up as they promised me they wouldn't, and when I complained to the guy I dealt with, he has never showed up to look at it. Not using him again. I'm pretty sure the edges need some sealing and perhaps a little more, but first I've got to kill the grass. Local centipede grass is pretty destructive in ways, it will burrow through, up and down and doesn't seem to care what's there; it's coming through. Good for bare patches, not so good for invading mulched areas and driveways for sure.

well, these are the "dog days" of summer aren't they? but...what do dogs have to do with it? Googling informed me it has nothing to do with our pooches; named after Orion's "dog star" Sirius. July and August for short.
