I did do the rebar.
Just paying the bill this time. After I about killed my son and son in law with heat stroke at my daughters house, I promised to never attempt that again. Too much concrete, not enough hands, late delivery, rising temps and a bad calculation on yards, it was not pretty. My son in law did not realize when he dug out parts of the pad that 6" is not 4" and meant twice as much concrete. LOL

The last garage door installed. Ordered a Lift Master inside module that will close all the doors with one touch and monitors openings with a chime for less than $40

What do you guys call the texturing in your area...we had it done on our house in Texas and I'd like it done in NY when we build next year, but VERY few contractors I've spoken to have heard of it and/or know what it is!!!!
Just finished reading through, THANK YOU for taking the time....it's been a WEALTH of information! We'll see if I can do this when we start next year.

The big pour is Monday. $600 rebar and close to $8000 in additional concret. Tuesday is the final pour of exposed aggregate for the porch and front sidewalk.

The pad in front of the garage is 18 x 60 in addition to the 2' apron. It looks small in the pictures.

I am pretty fired up about my wife letting me get the pads poured now. Talked to the builder about a lean to off the back. Looking for change in the dryer and in the car, not sure if I can pull this off.
