Price Check Downsize, L3800 value?

I'm going to downsize from a L3800 to a B series. Tractor is a L3800 HST w/30 hours and a Kubota FEL. The tractor is a little over a year old. Also have a Woods 60" finishing mower to go with it. Cruise control, right side handle, and the extra air filter added. What would be a fair asking price?

Gonna take a pretty good hit since it is so new, but I am sure you wont be offering the service, warranty, or financing that a dealer is able to do.

I'm in a similar situation. I have a '13 b2920. I went to dealer 2 weeks ago to possibly trade for a L3301. I'm amazed at how little my "almost" new tractor is worth. He claims the biggest reason for poor resale on near new equipment is 0% financing on new tractors. What do you think you'd be asking for your tractor?

While 0% is great for buyers, it makes it tough to sell newer low hour equipment for what is normally worth. If a person is financing their purchase, the difference in internet rates can make a several thousand dollar higher new purchase actually cheaper by the month.

Dealer has not got back to me yet about value for the L3800. Might wind up just keeping it and buy the B. Ed B

In my area (Upstate of SC), the L3800's for sale are priced high. The one's that aren't sell quickly. I'd put it at 16K, 15K to sell it quickly. Mower should be worth a grand.

may i ask why this decision so soon after purchase? how will the downsize purchase solve an application that your current model cannot? just asking & btw i have gone through similar, except in terms of "upsizing". either way we take the hit. best regards

Here non-TierIV stuff does seem to be carrying a premium for now but the interest rate on new vs. used is a valid issue.

I also have to ask why the change, especially if you have the John Deere 2210 mentioned in your profile still? Seems a B is getting pretty close to a 2210 and how much difference is there really between the B and the L?
