Drinking first cup of coffee. 67° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 86° with chance of thunderstorms throughout the day. Not much planned today. Except a cookout at neighbors. Pork and alligator. Will see how that goes.
Good Morning All.

63 going to 83. Should be a beautiful day.

Yesterday was nice for opening day of dove season and we had a good shoot. Coconino retrieved her first bird. I've got a sore shoulder.

Eric, sounds like you are going to have a virtual experience...may as well take a dip in the pool that you don't have, too.

cooler day today with rain coming up the coast mid day. I was going to finish the mowing this afternoon but that can wait.
Paying bills now, delighted that the local tax folks have decided my little 6x12 steel trailer is worth 10K vs under 3 which I paid for it. So down to the tax folks this week and hope I get someone whose bulb has turned on. I printed a picture of it and the list price. Maybe that will do...

Now Eric, no porch and no cigar ?, well a man can dream...
Of course you might look out and see a group of lambs in a circle all sharing your left over stogie...;) actually they would probably eat it. Ugh.

btw, I thought this was a nice story posted yesterday, showing the quality of Texas youth.

53F clear sky may touch 90F for high...no rain in sight until end of the week. :(
Not all that plan for today... relocate couple trailers dig out 50' ditch w/front loader catch little NASCAR,country dirt road ride early evening.

Enjoy the day all.

60 right now...heading to 87 today.

First order of business today is get the wiring and other stuff I need to mount and wire an LED rear work light on the 4520.
After that (and wife doesn't have other plans), I'll mount the backhoe on the tractor to move it for the winter season.

We're suppose to grill some veggies today, if my step daughter remembers the veggies and charcoal.

69 this morning and headed to 95 today.

Have a family get together each of next two days. All on wife's side. I get out of tomorrow's early but I need an excuse for today. Any ideas? Tomorrows is "My chickens are leaving". Won't work today.

But maybe I can get back and finish mowing. Had a late start yesterday. Go get gas and when I get back and start fueling. I notice oil on the deck. Get to checking. The hydro filters are both loose. But only one is leaking. I guess when I changed them in the spring I didn't get them tight. They are in a bad spot. Leaked out about a quart of oil. I had some though. Tightened, Refilled and mowed. With no other problems.

Also have an end security light to replace before catch. Need to do that before it gets too hot.

Eric you could always start adding a porch. Then when wife comes home you can tell her you're setting up for your new hobby. Sitting on the porch.

Drew good article.

Kev just checked UK 40-Louisiana-Lafayette 33. They were tied in the fourth last night. Seemed like a good game only caught bits and pieces.

tacky tacky tacky

it was early but it looked pretty deserted when I went by. Big place
didn't see all the signs announcing it was x miles to go to it, at least heading South on Route 95
they used to buy a lot of billboard space
probably so well known now they don't have to

one sign was proudly announcing they had a five pound fireworks, probably a cake like device. Always fun on July 4th.

I saw regular gas at Pilot for $1.86 in South Carolina

Morning All!

It is a cool but humid 69 degrees right now... Rhett is out on his Zip line...

I'm working as a bartender this afternoon/evening at a wedding my fiancee is catering, so not gonna get much done today...

Lots of drama in other parts of my life, just gonna let that go, or try too...

Be well all,
David

Got another 6-8 acres mowed. Slow going due to the thickness. Rat patrol. Probably uncovered about 20 rodents while cutting the last 2 days. I try to run over them. At least having the grass short will give the birds an opportunity. Must've ran over a few, the buzzards and crows were out in the areas I mowed the day before. The coolest thing happened. When I was almost done with a 3 acre field, a hawk showed up and was moving from tree to tree just waiting for an opportunity. Sure enough I flushed out a mouse and he was on it, quick as a hawk. Down and back up in the tree with his catch. He could have had a "field" day the day before in the big field.

I have one more field about 8 acres to finish. It will have to happen later. Church today, then going to Victoria to visit my buddy who just had a kidney removed due to a growth. It was cancerous, the size of a small potato. Dr says it may have been growing for 10 years, at a 1/4" a year.

Good morning tractor drivers!

It's been a while sense I checked in. It's been a busy summer and lately a little scary with all of the forest fires around here one of them got about 1/4 mile from our house.

Yesterday I got a chance to work my Bronco and the Tractor.

70°F and no rain here

Son and family made it home to Va after 5 hour flight delay. Quiet here now.
Got the bedroom ceiling painted in the cottage yesterday. Will tackle walls today.

Be safe
Have a great day

It's 96˚ according to my Acurrite weather station, but - it has a reputation of showing increased temps - up to 15˚ on a 101˚ day. Actually it feels like 91˚

Roy for vegetable grilling a grilling mat https://www.yoshigrill.com/index/?MID=5653389 is essential. We grill veggies (brussels sprouts, potatoes, brocoli, corn, asparagus) about 4 days a week. The grilled brussels sprouts, cut in half, have a mustard/balsamic vinegar glaze added and the potatoes have spices on them.

Our electric grill on the back porch really takes the heat out of the kitchen during the summer and the mat is so easy to clean.

My wife saw this tube and just changed her diet by adding brussels sprouts to her diet and lost 20 lbs. this summer - just enough to get all new clothes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ixFk8ZMW5_Q&feature=youtu.be In the video they are baked but we grilled them for 20 minutes.

Yup, quite the landmark down there.

Many years ago, we would travel that route several times a year. Made a pit stop only to find pay toilets!!!!!! Now I'm the type of guy, if I'm gaining to use your facilities, I'm going to also be a customer, be it gas or snacks or whatever, but pay toilets really turned me off and that was the only money they got. Stopped again years later and toilets were free, we bought lunch.

Going to look into the veggie vid!! Mowed and trimmed trees at the shop, pretty hot by our standards, 90F. Weather guy said we had a 97% humidity? I didn't think that was right? At some point do we start swimming?

I need help, my wife is now communicating with a man in Pampa TX to buy 5 more heifers. I will admit that it is a good deal, but it is a 20 hour drive according to Google map... ONE WAY! Which mean pulling a 16' trailer will make it longer. Pulling a trailer means I will be doing all the driving. Don't get me wrong guys, I love my wife dearly, but would it be justifiable if I just shoot her now?

Wanna guess what I will be doing next weekend? I'll keep ya posted

Save your ammo - JUST SAY NO, it's too far.

(By the way it's just 9 hrs from me how good a deal is it?) ((Unless they are stollen:shocked:))
