a 8x12 or so shed, on skids, bottom is off ground about 8" from that point to about 2 feet up. almost entire side has been nauled on like someone took a little drum sander for a dremal and eat up the side.
20 x 24 cabin with approx 6' x 24' front porch, cabin itself is fine, but on the porch there is a cabinet made from same type of plywood siding. were a critter has nauled at the bottom corners and side doors (edges of the plywood / doors)
then front porch the plywood roof sheeting was brought over it, and singles placed on top. right at the metal drip edge. something has nauled through some of drip edge, looks like it was chewed up by a reciprocating saw blade, were blade was not held steady. due to the jaggy-ness of the metal.
and then on the under side of the plywood sheeting up next to the drip edge. it looks like something has nauled all the way across in between the 2x4 rafters pieces. something like a little drum sander on a dremal. it is all fairly smooth. but in locations you can see were the plywood sheeting has little naul marks.
tearing off shingles to replace. and some dry root at the drip edge. extending about 1 foot from porch edge. does not extend into actual cabin. single layer of shingles approx 20 to 25 years old. assuming wind tore off the tabs in a spot on the front. and hence replacing shingles. if not tearing off shingles would of never noticed the dry rot.
the shed side also has some dry rot on it. were it was chewed / nauled up. the area shed sets in, is fairly damp / shaded pretty much all day if not all day long.
the shed, cabin set near lake. approx 40 to 60 feet or so up on top of a hill.

the more i type this out. is there some sort of creature / critter / bug that eats up dry rot wood? or goes after something in the dry rot? some sort of bird? beaver / musk rat? mice? squirrels? some sort of bug?
it is more eating the "surface" of the exterior plywood, vs making holes. and eating / nawing at the edges of the plywood.
