Broken clouds this morning but damage is done ground completely soaked and showers return later today.

There is a strong possibility that by Sunday lots of us here in Virginia and North Carolina will see 4 or 5 inches of additional rain maybe three times that. Those effected please read weather carefully this could be devastating. Please note could be and in following weather for 20 years plus never seen this type of set up before. Good news is hurricane or TS at least by one model will not effect us but low in Georgia will
Two weeks ago we needed rain now not so much

Pond overflowed yesterday newly seeded grass by building washed out huge ruts so when it dries out I'll be busy. Good Morning

Buppies, saw shots of Woolwine and other SW VA locations on national weather report...looks like bad flooding already.

How about Bosch dishwashers although expensive $900 I think has performed very well for 10 years now and so quiet only know it's on when you see light that tells you it's running. Just a suggestion

Pretty bad but nothing like November 1985 massive flooding. Lots of mud slides close by with roads closed for a time. I hope the weather forecasts I read are wrong for this weekend

Good Lord it rained yesterday trying to drive home!

My lady has a birthday tomorrow and we've planned a bonfire for months with her son home from college for the weekend etc. and now I cannot drive the tractor on this soggy slop without tearing up the yard... And it is supposed to rain for the next 3-5 days... OOOF

There is a line in a song I like "If you want to hear God laugh, just tell him your plans..."

Be well all!

David

It looks like this TS is headed straight for NYC. Keep your heads above water guys.

David, I'm sure y'all will figure out something for the birthday hopefully.

Ron, drink a cup for me. I have to get the kids to the roadside for the bus every am at 6:28 or so.

IMO, dishwashers and appliances have become a racket.

There were 3 new houses built in the area the last few years. One has a Bosch. It is the quietest - so say the girls.

76 and going to 90. I just got a work order so I will do that today, then home to work on the run in. I would like to get the posts set today. You guys getting all the rain, watch out for river flooding, even the little streams can be deadly. Drew, now I understand why you want a boat, to work your trees in times like this. How are the turtles holding up? No swimmers this time I hope.

Good Morning! 58F @ 7:00AM. Mostly cloudy. High 78F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.

Let's hope the weather guessers are wrong and the tropical storm will only graze the east coast.

When I was dishwasher shopping earlier this year, I read reviews on the manufacturer's web sites, at amazon, and at the Home Depot and Lowe's web sites. Didn't seem to matter which brand or model, about 25% of the reviews were extremely negative. Complaints ranged from didn't work when plugged in to flooded my kitchen. You'd think manufacturers would use that kind of info to tweak their lines or at least their inspections to catch the duds, but apparently that isn't happening. A few years ago a friend of mine had a brand new Bosch that flooded her brand new kitchen. Warped all the new wood floors, destroyed all the new base cabinets, and she had to start all over with the remodel. But I guess the flood was very quiet.:laughing::laughing::laughing:

We have a low pressure system passing over today and tomorrow, but it will only bring us some clouds and cooler temperatures. Sure could use the rain.

Got a physical scheduled for next week so I'll be headed into town in a few minutes for some blood work, then treat myself to some breakfast as a reward for getting poked. Have to make sure that the place I used last year is still in network, and still at the same location first though. Things seem to change every year...

Happy Hump Day gang!

David, it looks like you need to change the theme from a "Bon Fire Party" to a good old "Texas Hurricane Party". Thats where you grill everything in the freezer and with your adult beverage sit back and watch everybody get frantic as the eye passes.

Yea David and wife, 32!! Happy Anniversary!

Dozens of vehicles burn at trail ride campground.

Our VFD was 9 miles away, close, but not as closes as others, to assist at the trail ride fire Saturday. I was wondering how it started. Apparently a man was trying to kick his wife but missed and kicked over a BBQ pit while the riders were on the trail ride and not at the campground. I drove over there when I saw the column of black smoke from over 10 miles away but could not get close because the riders and wagons rushing back to the campground had the roads blocked.

David, Happy Anniversary to you and your bride!

Wife left a little while ago with a bag of dishes to see how they fit in dishwashers...seems their racks/slots are somewhat different...definitely looking at a couple of Bosch models. Thanks for the recommendation, Buppies and Don. I just finished removing the 10 old Kenmore model...maybe I should try to fix it and reinstall while she is gone :). I also just finished washing some dishes by hand (again). We didn't have a dishwasher for the first 9 years we were married so no big deal for a few days or weeks. RNG, I am worried about the mixed reviews.

Got a little bit of humid sunshine today - last semi-dry spell until Monday, at best, so heading outside to try to mow the damp grass after yesterday's 2.25 inches of rain.

David happy anniversary

Bosch has been our best so far to date no problems and I do think you get what you pay for. I think that washer now is $1300 dollars

We had a Fisher Paykel dual dish drawer in a prior house. Great dishwasher(s) especially since it was only two of us.
