If I can . . I'd like to suggest that Nikko did not say he bought the 1734e. What he said is he thinks he might and that he was going to think it over.

I'm pleased he is considering Massey because it didn't appear he was interested in kubota or yanmar and I hoped he'd condider one of the major tractor and engine builders.

But lets wait and see when he tells us the delivery date before saying everything else he was consideting was wrong . . don't you think ?

Did not buy yet as i am is duscussion with my wife. She is a little mesmorized on how big the machine really is. So have to let her absorb the information lil by lil. Was thinking of getting the grapples from them. They want 1500 bucks just labor to install a 3rd valvle kit, hook up the remote in the back and run the lines to the front. I supply all parts. Might do that myself as in dont see a dealer taking 15 hrs at 90 bucks a hr to do this.

Should have my answer wednesday or thursday. I appreciate all the help from everyone. Whatever i do i am a million times more confident at least buying a machine.

ok so tire questions. Im thinking turf tires and then if i get into the the snow moving and the clearing of the land part i would put on a chain style traction on them. Do the r4 if being careful Still ruin the lawn.

I have $150 in hoses and quick connect fittings, some tye wraps and I made the bracket for the cross member on the loader for the front quick connects. Run a garden hose for the route on the tractor, mark it with a marker as you want it hooked up and them pull it out and measure it. Don't forget to put quick connects in the middle if you intend to take the loader on and off. That way you dont have to un-route( is that a word?) your pretty hose routing job .

I will def look into this. But it is confusing right now, A lotta terminology I have to learn. Im looking into some teeth for the bucket or a paranah bar if thats what its called. Something to help me pull out small roots and brush out of the ground. If the tractor is a go i will invest in a grapple maybe a year later.

Nikko, the rumor in the north country is that turf tires are better for winter white than either ag or industrial. Reasoning is ag tires get too little traction grip to the ground and industrial fills up and becomes a slick too easily. Chains come in metal and also in rubber versions.

As far as lawns go . . Turfs are the most forgiving and the least digging. While turf tires may not be as tough for rough ground exposures like broken small tree trunks etc.. they offer alot of grips that drop dirt, mud, and snow if given a chance. If you're in clear mud . . Then with any of them . . . Look for a winch and something ro tie it to. Thats the rumor.

I will strongly vouch for the Piranha Tooth Bar on my BX. Not sure you can get one for your Massey but worth a try for sure! Pssst... your small roots and brush are calling for R4s. The tractor weight and R4s is calling for second dedicated mower (you'll see) if you thinking 'nice' lawn.

Sorry not trying to give you a hard time. My story... I have 1.5acre steep property that I am wrestling with my BX (275hrs in the last 2+ yrs). I am cutting in roads, moving several truck loads of gravel, several truck loads of topsoil, chaining and moving stumps and burning about an acre of forest debris. I thought I would get a MMM or rear mower for my BX but decided quick after changing out other implements that I 'needed' a dedicated mower... thus a Zero Turn.

If you are okay with a bit chewed up vs. manicured lawn and no tight spaces for maneuvering... you should be in good shape with your tractor choice.

I believe BXpanded will make a Piranha tooth bar of about any reasonable length. I think you just send them a measurement of the inside of the bucket at the lip.

Yes, I know they have done customs. Just give them good dimensions and pictures of the bucket lip/sides and coordinate so there are no surprises. Harry at BXpanded is good!

I had terra grips on my small riding mower, but dont see they make em for the tire size. 38x14-20 4pr im prtty sure are the rear sizes. Cant find any rubber chain info either all steel.

When going to clean the back property i would put on chains cause their is no manicured lawn back thier for now. Just to get extra grip while moving around would be a huge help. Lots of crap to pic up and brush to rip up. Ia so saw somethingnabout tire reliners. Said its make the tire stronger so wont be able to puncture. Dont know about that anyone have any idea of them?
