Well gentlemen i BOUGHT A GC1720 with mmm! After lisenting to everybody and thinking about it, reading more and watching more and more videos on youtubes and of videos you guys posted on this forum. Thankyou for all your help! I finished the paper with it today 19,000 out the door. Purchased out of state so no sales tax also :). Will be at my home next week sometime.

Looking forward to the delivery and doing upgrades lil by lil :). Led light bar, teeth on the bucket.

Can I ask the dealer to load my tires? Is it normally a free cost?
.

Nikko,

I'm glad you found a solution. I'm a little surprised at the price . . No tax sure helps but even so 19k for a gc1720 wirh mmm is as good as I've heard of. I'd say you did quite well. How far a drive is the distance to the dealer ?

Congrats and you now have a 5 year warranty.

Question . . did you use one of the Agco financing programs? I ask this because if you did . . you can get the cheapest damage insyrance possible. For mine it was less than 300.00 for the entire 5 year loan and ut covers a ton of things personsl oroperty insurance doesn't. My dealer is big yet they'd never done one before and questioned about ut and now they are doing them often :)

Wow... looks to be a dang good deal! At least comparing to this: http://www.tractorhouse.com/listingsdetail/detail.aspx?OHID=9767301

$3K less... And you got the MMM! I guarantee you will have a blast on that tractor. The BH will take you back to your sandbox days!

On tire fill... hey play dumb and ask if they will throw it in! You've lost your bargaining power now though. One thing you might want to check out is using your BH with filled rears. I think at least on my SCUT it is not recommended. Too much weight on rear axle?

Im not go na disapear just cause imgot my machine lol. Still gonna have lots and lots of question for everyone with pictures of progress.

Axle i got the 3.99 finance rate. As far insurance they wanted 10 dollars a month for it and some of the papers i was reading in the contract for the insurance does not cover property or personal damage My home owners does. Dealer is a 1 hr away. Their was one closer(45 min) i called them twice, matter affact i called everyone twice to get prices and most of the salemen seem way to busy for me over the phone.

My sales guy was good, only been selling massey stuff for less then a year, hardworker learning as he goes and he was hungry to make money.

So guys i womt close this thread out until i get my machine and post a nice big picture of it with me on it.

Ok lets talk some more lol

Break in period? Run The machine hard or soft for breakin? Do i just drive around for a hr or so to let the everyhting break in, like gaskets, seals, oils.

I like medium break ins for ~50 hrs even though many manufactures say you don't need them. Just old school I guess.

Nikko . . If you were looking at the agco insurance thru ??? (its a name not AGCO but tied to them) . . then you have to recognize it is damage insurance . . Not liability insurance. That's what your home owner's does anyway. What it does cover is a huge list of things your homeowners does not cover like flooding and hail and tornado and tipover and theft and . . .a very long list. Your homeowners treats a tractor different just like it does a car. I don't know how it rates the backhoe part . . But my gc1715 was 287.00 for the entire 5 years . . No monthly amount . . And it coukd be part of the financed amount.

I wrote several threadsregarding breakn periods. Essentially the idea is to vary rpms and vary tasks and strain levels the first 40 or 50 hours. I changed my oil sooner ('at 30 hours and then the normal 50 hr service is at 50 or 60 hour mark). But you'll get many other viewpoints differently. For me its not about soft but about avoiding excessive continous strain.

Best advise given in this entire thread.

Yep, that's why I have two, one on each on my main farms. 245s but basically the same tractor. Not a lawn mower for sure and not 4wd but one of the best values out there. Runs reliably, uses practically no fuel, parts very available and easy to fix. Plus you get that "old Massey sound".
