Certainly interesting. I'm very curious how Yanmar is meeting Tier IV regs with these engines?

The metallic red paint is pretty sweet, but I imagine that is only on the "show" models.

Like the shape of the cabs, not so sure on the angular "transformer" styling of the nose/headlights.

Awesome that they are offering a front PTO/3pt from the factory in that size class (YT3).

What would you use that front-mount PTO/3pt for? Snowblower is all I can think of. Could you have an FEL and the front 3PT setup? Clearly you couldn't have anything mounted to it while the FEL in installed, but I wonder if the two are mutually exclusive. I wouldn't trade an FEL for front 3PT/PTO.

Snowblower, mower (mow BEFORE you run it over), forks, hay rake (rake hay over to the side, then bale it), landscape rake, sicklebar mower, etc, etc, etc.

Sounds great except all the attachments I currently have wouldn't work. They'd all be on there backwards! No big deal. As long as I'm dreaming about a new machine, why not throw in all new forward-facing attachments?

Bush hog would work, 3 point forks would work, landscape rake, back blade, should work (if they can spin 360 degrees), snowblower would work.
Hay rake, sicklebar mower, finish mower, etc would need some work (finish mower could be as easy as pulling the 4 bolts for the gearbox and spinning it 180 degrees, then switching the mounting brackets to the other end).

Aaron covered a lot of it.

Snow blowers, plows and sweepers of course, but cutting implements of some type are the among most common usage. Many flail mowers out of Europe come with bi-directional mounts.

Also commonly used for front mounted carryalls and counterweights.

I dont know about the Yanmars, but most front 3pt that Im aware of, have arms that fold up out of the way (or easily remove) for loader and front clearance when not needed so its not an either/or option.

Thanks for sharing the pics of the pre-production tractors.

Would it be less confusing to say that the front pto has to turn in the same direction or the opposite direction of the rear pto?

It would spin in the same direction when facing it (ie: standing in front looking at the PTO or standing in the back looking at the PTO).
