I'm not sure I'd want a full cab enclosure, but a windshield would definitely be a worthwhile addition. I don't have one for my Gator...but it's definitely on the list to get! In my case, I'd probably go for a manual wiper too since I'm not usually running about when it's raining.

ATV is such a useful piece of eqpt. Moving tools & eqpt to where I'm working.

My "TS" Gator had this after-market canopy on it when I bought it: HPIM2872.JPG Since I haul it 30 miles to the farm a lot, I rebuilt the rear mount to something sturdier bolted to the frame: HPIM2903.JPG

If the thin plexiglass windshield ever breaks, I'll go to 1/4" Lexan.

I like to have the windshield separate from a cab enclosure like you have it so I can leave it on year round. From Nov.- Mar. is when I like to have my cab enclosed for plowing snow.
1/4" lexan is super strong but probably a lot more money. That is quite a span for that thin plexiglass but seam's so if you had a vertical bar in the middle that plexiglass should hold up quite well, and it is easier to find.

I don't know for sure that what is on mine is plexiglass, but it's thin. Lexan is expensive, but more scratch & break resistant & would be worth the extra cost to me.

Took a ride last night in the 50 degree temps with the full moon, neat. Ronnie

How are you liking the JD 550 so far? I was just looking at one today. Looks like a nice machine at a fair price.

That's what I like to see, if your going put load on put a load on, did you have tie straps to hold the wood on? My Rhino couldn't carry half that, and a log to wow, that's awesome.

Yeah, I've got a Rhino too. No comparison between the two.

I built a bed rack for the RTV so I could pile on a load without worrying about bending or pushing the sides outward. I don't strap a load on, just try to stack it to stay. In this case the trip was mostly on flat ground. When in the steep timber I can't pile it quite that high.

Funny story. RTV bed is hydraulic dump. I dumped a load at the pile on day and when I lowered the bed I clicked it into "float" so it would go down faster. Stacked another load and started climbing a steep incline out of the timber. Felt the RTV lurch forward. Looked over my shoulder and saw it dump the entire load. Had left the lever in float so there was nothing holding the bed from dumping. Only made that mistake once. :)

There are play toys and there are WORK machines, we know what category the RTV falls in.

Very true. That's why it's so hard to discuss an RTV versus a UTV.

Lookin good Derek!!!! I wish the bed was just a bit farther forward. When loading on the tailgate the front end gets a bit light if going up a steep incline!!!! I've backed up several with large loads of wood on. :)
