35.2F and sunny @ 09:30 with lots of frost on the ground ... headed up to a high of 46F for the day.

Mild weather for the rest of the week, with the high temp on Saturday predicted to reach 68F ...

Have some dishes in the dishwasher to put away and then see if I can find some boxes in the basement that are small enough to use to start packing up the excess junk from the kitchen.

Have some paperwork to do as well.

I don't know about hating them, but do think they are rather insulting. Don't know that I know anyone of my friends that would make such a purchase without the benefit of consulting their spouse let alone do so and then surprise them.

In addition to cars they're selling fantasies ...

I've got around 700' or 800' of driveway that needs paved ... and after 10 years or so, the base is very well compacted ...

Mebbe we could work something out ?

Cloudy today, but mild and still looking that way through late December.
Cleaning house and chores seem my immediate future, my wife stopped her practice in Febuary. She told me she was saving a bunch of stuff until I could help. Of course that means, until I could do them!

Well, i could probably organize things about as well as my SIL organized my wife's recipes the last time she visited.
Every time my wife looks for a recipe she can't find where it's filed.
Similar to when my wife puts things away for me, i can't find them.

If I try to clean or organize around the house, my wife has a fit. I can work outside, but I tread carefully indoors!

It's really a mixed bag here ... and fits are not uncommon ...

On the one hand, help with cleaning is appreciated (provided it's done under her close supervision) ... although Cupcake will be the first to tell you (or rather: me ... almost constantly ... ) that I have no clue what I'm doing when it comes to cleaning (Shyeah, right ... :laughing

That from the woman who has to (pre) clean everything ... before she can have the cleaning people in, to clean the house ... :confused2:

Today, when she got home, I had emptied the island, cleaned the inside, and got about half of what was in there run thru the dishwasher and put back away in an organized manner.

She liked that ... although she expressed some doubt as to whether we had enough room to lay everything out in such an organized way. (Yeah, we probably don't ... which is why a bunch of crap is going ... who needs two identical food processors ... or two or three waffle irons ?)

On the other hand, she figures ME just doing it is some kind of condemnation of her, and her housekeeping skills ...

It really isn't, it just a recognition that it needs done (regardless of who does it) and that she doesn't have the time (currently working 6 days) and I do, and that she spent a good part of her free time on her days off this summer helping me outside get done what I wanted done.

She is very particular ... which is why when it comes to cleaning I operate on the better-to-ask-for-forgiveness-than-to-ask-for-permission basis ...
