why 6 days for 2-3 day mail?

Our local post office likes to tack on an extra charge for various reasons.
Personally, I feel that if the other post office accepted it, the receiving one has no business taking on any other fees.

I've had that a couple times. I couldn't believe it. And the guy wouldn't take the money for it. I had to go to the post office and pay it to get my package.

What did they charge you extra for?

They said the postage wasn't enough on both packages that it happened on. How you can ship something and expect the receiver to cover additional shipping? Wouldn't that have been figured out at the shipping counter?

Wow......never had that happen. Didn't they use to ship it back to sender for returned postage?

That's what I thought. It was quite the surprise. It was only like 60 cents but the hassle was ridiculous.

Our DirecTv DVR bit the dust yesterday. We spent about 20 minutes on the phone with them and it was decided that in-fact, it is broken. At 3:30 pm Monday they said they would ship a new one to us and we should have it tomorrow. Yeah-right......

At 10:15 Tuesday morning FedEx delivered it!! In less than 20 hours it made a 350 mile trip.

I've seen it too, postage due. If its a small amount, they dint return it to sender, but rather hold it hostage for the receiver. And yeah.. Why wasn't postage calculated correctly when accepting it for mailing???

Why.. Because they are the past orifice, and don't have to do their job right, or run in the black...

Like fuel surcharges.
But have you ever been given a fuel rebate???
