Not the same, but found new a spring suspension seat base on eBay, turns out to be a Sears Seating brand: 607 / Compact Mechanical Suspension / 600 Series Seat Top - Sears Seating

Sun going down, not enough light for good pictures.

Bottom, 6 threaded holes to bolt to the plate on the TORO.

Top, where seat bolts on.

I made the trip to the seat distributor.

Turns out I like the Sears 1000 series seats for tractors which is used in a bunch of CIH and JD applications as well as the V5400 Milsco for turf/excavator/skid steer/lift-truck.

I also saw that the Toro/Exmark deluxe seat is made by Seat's Inc using a custom-skinned version of the KM439 seat. The same seat frame is available with an adjustable backrest angle in the KM438. Both seats are variants of the I3M seat on seat inc web site suggesting that an airseat version could be had.

Anyway, I came home with two of the distributors catalogs for dealers. One for Construction and one for dealer/retail.

I plan to order the V5400 for my mower and looking through the catalog am kicking myself for not trying out the Pilot made seat, the KM 239 ( https://www.constructionseats.com/p-1339-km-239-uni-pro.aspx )

Eric, I'm looking forward to your review of the v5400 after you get it installed. Do you have any specs on it other than the mounting layout? I'm trying to figure out how tall the top/front edge of the seat is (above the bottom of the base). I'd like to know the maximum and minimum heights (inflated/deflated). I see that Gravely Pro mowers use that seat, but I don't have any dealers close to my normal routines.

FWIW, the 8" SIP appears to be the maximum height. When set up right for the operator weight, the operator will settle into the seat travel.

Great, thanks! I have seen some seat measurements with that center symbol, but what does "S.I.P." stand for?

Seat Index Point: J1163: Determining Seat Index Point - SAE International

This SAE standard specifies a method and the device for use in determining the position of the Seat Index Point (SIP) for any kind of seat. This SAE document provides a uniform method for defining the location of the SIP in relation to some fixing point on the seat.

I have the factory suspension seat upgrade on my Ferris and it looks just like the line drawing Eric posted. The seat is great and combined with the suspension on the mower makes for a great ride.

Still too cold for me to make a video of the Milsco's V5400 air seat, but I'm hoping it will work out for me!

Looks like you're a bit a head of me in a search for a new seat. While you are looking for a flat seat, I'm actually needing one with lumbar support. Got long legs so maybe the MSG75 isn't the best choice for me? I gotta check, but I might have a different model of a Milsco in my skid steer. That unit only has the suspension in the seat pan to reduce the clearance requirements, but the lumbar profile is about right for me.

Edit- I have the Michigan 5300 in the skiddy. This seat looks like a splitting image of the Milsco 5400. Makes me think the two companies are related.

Milsco is Michigan. The mechanical and air suspension (V5300 and V5400) share the identical seat but different suspension. Milsco also makes a seats commonly found in skid steers.

Putz around the Milsco web site and hopefully you will find your skid steer seat.

That appears to my eye as the air seat version of the Seats Inc of my Ferris's standard stock seat. I couldn't get one aftermarket as Seats Inc only does OEM. Speaking as a former outside B2B sales and then sales manager, I don't blame Seats Inc.

My musing aside, that seat is the I3A. I found out about it and shared what I found out about it on post number 7 on the first page of this thread.

Anyway, I would have really liked to get my hands on one.

I wasn't really planning on sharing this end-of-December video as I'm looking to do a better review of the V5400 air seat once it warms up. Even so, gleen what you wish from what I did think to share in my cold December garage.

Hey Eric, how much difference is there between your original seat and this V5400 (seat surface depth)? I see those new Kubota ZD1500 series are supposed to be out this year, and maybe they already are, so could you get an air seat (replacement part) from a Kubota dealer? That would have the original seat design plus the air suspension.
