Todays pics show my latest little project. I call it the ( TARP FLIPPER ) . I have 15 mini machines, two cars and a pickup . So this little loader has to sit outside all year round. But I keep it covered with a tarp. As i get older it is harder to climb up and drag the tarp over the cab after each snowplowing. Now in less than one minute I can pull either side of the bar and raise the 14 x 16 tarp up and over covering almost the whole machine from the weather. Reverse the process flipping it back is just as easy and two quick release pins detach the frame from the brackets and off I go to plow. It does not look fancy but it works AWESOME !!!:cool2:

Man, I like that! New project near the top of my list before the weather gets too bad. Did you use PVC pipe for the flipper?

I used 2" thinwall conduit . It sure works slick !!!
Todays pics show the new rear hitch parts cut out, welded and attached. Also the right side lower storage box project. And three overhead rear lights . I am now working on the left side storage box that will hold the Cub Cadet fuel tank. I will add a electric fuel pump but still keep the smaller gravity fed fuel tank for backup.

I want to make the tarp flipper in the spring for our motorhome too. Except it will be designed to flip from each end and be joined in the middle . It should work pretty slick too.
I got the gator all done and now working on a quick detach cab rear and top section. This will make it more fun to plow snow in the cold north wind and blowing snow. The rear section and top section comes off easy in less than 15 minutes and the tractor returns to the original cute look for tractor shows. Today I received notice I made it in ( The Best of Farm Show ) with this tractor too . So that is very cool.

Todays progress project is rear steps for the Steiner / Deere . The cab has rear entry to I wanted nice steps. I cut three pieces of 1/4 in plate steel with my plasma cutter and it worked great. I plowed snow this morning and more on the way tonight. My next project is side wings for the front blade for the Steiner 4x4 and jd X-758 4x4 .:cool2:

The first real snow storm. Man it was nasty. It was pushing my duramax in 4x4 around even. I was hoping to plow but we are green. 2 miles south has at least 3 inches and 30 miles north was getting it to

Today I pulled the Steiner/Deere out of the workshop for the first time with the new cab addition. It is very cozy inside and will be much nicer plowing snow on those cold , windy blizzard days. It looks a lot like the Pope Mobile , ha,ha,ha. But the rear and top can be removed in 20 minutes for the nicer summer look. Deb downloaded a You-Tube video today of me testing out the new cab.

Just watched a couple of your videos and one thing I noticed (on the custom duals video anyways) was that the tread bars on each set of duals, with the exception of the left rear of the 730 and the right front of the 9630, line up. That is to say the tires are mounted on the rims so that the long tread bars on the left half of one tire is at the same rotational spot as on the other tire in the pair.

I know you want these amazing models to look perfect but thats a little OCD isn't it?....just kidding!!!

Was that one purpose or just an amazing coincidence? Still envious of your fabrication skills.

Today Deb posted You-Tube Video #200 and this one shows the TARP FLIPPER in action. I been plowing snow a lot lately and the easy on and off method is great!! I used to have to climb up on the slippery fenders and drag the heavy tarp up and over the cab many times each winter. I am attaching several new photos we took today showing a little better how it works. I would like to also design a similar tarp cover for our motorhome during the summer months when it is not in storage to eliminate the black streaking . One of my next projects is a garden tractor Bar-Be-Cue Grill with the smoke coming out of the exhaust stack.

Lots of snow in the last week, here is a photo Deb took today of me in my backyard by the snowhill. The little 4x4 JD is working great. Also today I saw I made it in the next issue of Farm Show with my 2 wheel dolly conversion to flat wagons. Very Cool !!:thumbsup:
