What happened to D con?

Five gallon bucket needs water in the bottom. A regular field mouse can jump out of a five gallon pail. Imagine if you had one that had been in training.

Yeah I sent my wife to the store to buy some Decon and she came back with the cube and plastic container. I don't see how a mouse can get to the cube? Stupid. Anyways after two months, I see absolutely no evidence of anything disturbing this new contraption. Bring back the old paper boxes and pellets. I know if I ever see any for sale anywhere, garage sale, etc. I'm buying.

I was disappointed as well but tried the new gadget with the cube and until the late fall I saw no evidence of the cube in the plastic "tube" being eaten. I also threw a few cubes in my rock walls to feed the chipmunks and within two weeks, no chips and I restocked the tube. It'll work, give it time but the tube type thingy will only allow small mice or moles but it works.

I've tried to mostly avoid pellets or other poisons. Even though I've put out the pellets well away from the house, the mice seem to migrate into the walls or other inaccessible places and die off. My other concern is that they carry the pellets off from the bait location and stash them at nesting areas. I've found a couple places of stashed pellets that conceivably could have gotten flooded with rain water and possibly been carried into a the water supply. Snap traps have been the best solution for me.

A friend on Facebook posted this idea to catch mice. I have yet to try it......

Plastic bottle is covered with peanut butter and can spin freely on the coat hanger wire.

Redneck mouse pool works great for remote indoor locations

Tube? Mine is a plastic box with way too small of an entrance IMO. :confused3:
