Holy crap! These are $89.99 on Amazon. I was all excited to buy one until now.

I remember hearing on Paul Harvey (I'm dating myself) that the government was pulling some rat poison off the market because the coloring that that they were using caused cancer in rats. Early 90's I think it was.

Well....what do you expect? The chemo treatments the government was providing to the rats was getting very expensive!

DeCon and products in that category unfortunately move down the food chain. When the mice get poisoned and the other animals eat them, they more than often DIE also. Non Target species include but are not limited to all the raptors on the face of the earth. Most often in agricultural settings, the various owl species and hawks die from it. The argument that the raptors won't eat dead carrion doesn't hold true. Sometimes they do, and more often they end up eating one that isn't dead yet, still alive. They eat em, and they die. True story. If you find my explanation far fetched, just think about the effects of DDT and why it was outlawed.

I catch/kill mice in snap traps. I've been tossing the dead mice out onto the lawn as a means of disposal. Next day they are generally gone, I presume by hawk, owl, or perhaps a crow got the carcass.
