I remember hearing on Paul Harvey (I'm dating myself) that the government was pulling some rat poison off the market because the coloring that that they were using caused cancer in rats. Early 90's I think it was.
Tube? Mine is a plastic box with way too small of an entrance IMO. :confused3:
Yup, the EPA at its finest. Here the info on their website.

I think the last time I bought some it came separate from the plastic bait station. I threw the bait station in the trash and put the cube in the barn where I usually put the trays. Whats next, antifreeze and windex:thumbdown:
Does look like an old lunch box. I can see how it fools the mice.
I've tried to mostly avoid pellets or other poisons. Even though I've put out the pellets well away from the house, the mice seem to migrate into the walls or other inaccessible places and die off. My other concern is that they carry the pellets off from the bait location and stash them at nesting areas. I've found a couple places of stashed pellets that conceivably could have gotten flooded with rain water and possibly been carried into a the water supply. Snap traps have been the best solution for me.
A friend on Facebook posted this idea to catch mice. I have yet to try it......
Plastic bottle is covered with peanut butter and can spin freely on the coat hanger wire.
