Need to get coffee started. 50° with mostly clear skies. Heading to 65° with lots of sun. Glad I am not in the east. The snow amounts may be more than my little B2910 can handle. Those who have snow to move be safe and warm. Not much planned today. Some Football later today.
Roy, Happy Birthday to your wife.
Good Morning All.

22 here, glad I let the kitchen faucet dribble over night, supposed to get up to 52. There were reports of snow falling around here yesterday... I was laughing. Talked with BIL up in NJ and he spent 3 hours blowing snow a couple of times yesterday just to keep up with it. Am glad to see all survived with this storm.

Happy B-day to your wife Roy, and WOW!!! 20,000 posts, Congratulations! Didn't realize you had that much to say.

Went to the saw mill yesterday to get the lumber I need for the wagon seat, and might work on that today. Speaking of my wagon, is there anyone that knows 12 volt DC wiring? I have questions.

I did get a free roll of hay yesterday, saw one around the corner off the road, it was still there 6 hours later, so I took the trailer and tractor and picked it up. Saved me $50. I have to go buy 10 more rolls on Tuesday.

Stay safe everyone

Good Morning! 46 F @ 5:30 AM. Showers this morning becoming less numerous during the afternoon hours. High 53F. Winds light and variable. Chance of rain 40%.

Kev, every time I buy something with 12V wiring off Craig's List I end up re-wiring it. Maybe I could help answer your questions?

Glad everyone seems to have survived Snowmageddon. Hopefully warmer temps in the coming week will melt most of it away...

I must be very late looking in on TBN today as even RNG has beaten me to it and said good morning first. My excuse is that I had to take hay up to a neighbor. Their horses are now all confined to stables as they have been sinking too far into their wet muddy field.

Sounds like some of you did have "Epic" snow after all. Hope you enjoy the extra time spent by the fireside. I haven't yet lighted either of our wood burners today, it is an incredible 14C/57F outside.

Happy Birthday Mrs. Roy!

Saw where a couple of CoCoRaHS precip reporters posted 35 inches of snow near where your bother lives in NW Virginia, Drew.

Neighbor just plowed our driveway with his 95 hp cab Case tractor...huge heavy duty blade...saved me hours it would have taken with my 6 foot FEL bucket.

RNG, Thanks.

Problem 1) To pull a wagon (horse or vehicle) on the streets here in FL it has to have headlights, tail lights, flashers. This wagon also has elect. brakes. All of this is no problem by adding a battery to run it all, my question is I have a set of shafts for the horse to pull it, and those can be switched out for a tow bar for the truck or tractor to pull it (like taking it to a parade). How do I connect a RV 7 Pin trailer plug to it with out getting feed back to the stand alone battery. and make everything work.

Problem 2) Wanting a brake pedal for the brakes, will a 120V AC variable switch (sewing machine pedal) work on 12V DC? I know I can do it with a trailer brake controller and just use the manual switch, but that doesn't give me a pedal for my foot while my hands are full of reins.

Bet you want to recant your offer now, huh?

We have about 4" on the ground from last night's snow, we had 6" Friday night, then an inch of rain, so I have layers of frozen slush and 2-3' drifts from the wind. My cab is there, but my enclosure is still all in my head! Our son lives near Drew's brother and they have around 30" last count I had.

3 this morning and headed to 37 today. Currently 24. Should be good for the melt and the creation of mud. Almost 60 forecast for next weekend. What a roller coaster.

Back to the chicken coops today. Just trying to let it get closer to freezing before I start. So maybe I don't freeze any water lines.

You guys got hammered up north. Stay safe.

Buckeye nice pictures.

Kev. Add a toggle switch on the + side of the battery. Label it truck and horse. :). As far as brakes. Good luck. Electric trailer brakes are the one thing I don't have the patience for. I've found that when 12 volt wiring stats giving you trouble it will until it's all tore out and replaced. LED is the way to go also.

Roy. Happy birthday to your wife. And congrats on the post count.

You know guys, I grew up in NM & CO and remember the cold and snow, but for the life of me can't fathom wanting to be where it is 3 degrees. I am cussing 26 and that is a heat wave compared to 3. My hat is off to all you guys north of me.

That is exactly what I am doing with the wiring. It had so many loose wires and splices, that I just ripped it out. Now I want to redo it with some proper connections and have it work right. LOL
