The very detailed description of this issue, by Travis, in his post, is interesting, but the bottom line here is:When your retired and on the well known fixed budget, Cost Price Value is always the driver in a purchase. If you are going to make your living with something that is one thing but if you are going to use it now and then something a bit less works fine.
Like SnapOn tools and Harbor Freight tools. They both will work just one will hold up longer and one cost way less than the other.
JMHO.
I AM 75 years old, I AM retired, I DO have a fixed income, and the King Kutter tiller I bought, cost me $710 less than the EXACT SAME King Kutter tiller would have cost from EA.
There is NO explanation necessary for me!
Exact SAME product, with EXACT SAME warranty, for $710 less is where I will always buy a particular product.
On a future item....perhaps the price would be competitive, but it MUST be competitive for me to be a buyer.
I am not looking to buy a friendship......I simply want to buy a quality manufactured product.
I like my King Kutter tiller ( though the paint job stinks).
