OP: Anyone have a Chevy 1500 pickup, and what do you think of it?

.
Why Yes I do, a 2011 Silverado 1500 and I love it. Replaced a Dodge Dakota 2001. The 1500 gets 4 mpg better and is full sized.

BTW all this back and forth here has me thinking I can get away with a Greens Machine Thumb and get along just fine for only $349.00

My 350 ford is outside leaking diesel fuel right now. Fireplace filled with ash wood. And I still do not have a grapple.

First, get a Wicked Grapple.
Then, get a furnace with an underground tank and park the ford above it.
Solved.

Travis I think the point EA is missing is the OP asked a specific question about a specific product/manufacturer.
Then you used car salesman approach, swooped in with sales pitch. This is a forum where users come to get real world feedback with as little bias as possible.
Every time vendors throw the sales pitch in it muddies the waters.

I think you guys make a good product at a fair price but can't see why the sales pitch in every thread is needed?

EA may "make a good product at a fair price", but they do NOT necessarily SELL a good product at a fair price.
Eight months ago I bought a new King Kutter 60" tiller, online, from a Midwest farm supply store, (1180 miles away) including lift gate delivery to my door, for $710 less than the EA quoted price, for the exact same King Kutter 60" tiller, with EA "free delivery", plus.... an EA additional mileage charge + EA home delivery charge + EA lift gate charge.
With a price difference like that, I cannot afford to buy equipment from EA.

There is always going to be some variation in pricing. If I were EA, I would not want to be the bottom of the barrel. I would want a respectable price with respectable service and support to my customers. A race to the bottom on price is seldom a good thing. The mentioned price difference is quite a bit, but could be due to to other reasons (mfg reduced price, didn't update website, etc.). I like EA, they are a good outfit. At the same time, everyone should price check. Personally I never buy the lowest, lowest price.

For TomSeller:

Same EXACT item, by same manufacturer (King Kutter, with factory warranty), and you would "never buy the lowest, lowest price"???
I certainly do not always buy "the lowest, lowest price", but when there are NO variables, (this situation) in my opinion, paying MORE, simply defies economic logic.
I do not care about any supposed "other reasons" for the price difference. I am not willing to pay $710 more, to carry on a love affair with a seller.
(Amazon may be the exception, but even then, only a little bit more.)
The EA quoted delivered price for the tiller, was 33.5% higher that my actual delivered purchase price.
I try to make informed purchases, and paying 33.5% ($710) more for the exact same item, with no purchase variables, equates to economic insanity in my opinion.

We have huge buying power with some manufacturers, but King Kutter is really the only one in which we do not.
Rural King, Agri Supply and Farm&Fleet has a clientele that focuses more on price than quality, so their buying power with KK is much greater than ours.
Their KK selling prices are very close to the price that we pay for the same attachments from KK.
We are shipping single attachments from the factory directly to the customer, which adds an immediate 7%.
The big box stores have their own distribution system with warehouses throughout the country which allows them to use their company trucks to get the products anywhere they need at almost no additional cost to them.
We are not receiving a truckload discount, which adds at least an additional 7+%, however we aren't really sure what the big corporations can buy them for.
This isn't downing their way of doing business. Fact is, we just do not have that business profile.
Do I blame you for buying that tiller elsewhere? No.

King kutter does not make a bad product. They are dependable, but they lack some characteristics that are really important to us and to our internet customers.

We do not make a tiller at this time, so we do not have anything that directly compares to their tiller. If we did make a tiller, it would be more like the imported tillers on the market, which feature C shaped tines instead of the flat, L shaped tines.

We are a manufacturer with an owner who has been around attachments his whole life. He's bought, used, sold and talked about the best and worst available attachments on the market for decades.
Ted knows the industry. When he purchases something, he demands the best and his mentality is reflected in our business.
Our attachments are designed with quality and value in mind. We do not cut corners to cut the price. Cheaper is out there, but for the dollar, the EA attachments are simply the best.

We do not have dealers or distributors. If someone purchases an EA Attachment, it is personal. We speak to our customers on the phone. We recommend the best fit for their tractor and application.
If there is a problem with ANYTHING that we make or sell, the customer reports directly to us. We go above and beyond if something needs addressing.
We listen to feedback and truly care about the perception of our business and what our customers think about the products that we produce.

I hope this sheds some light on the situation.
Travis

Hickory splits terrible.

I'd rather split the knurliest hickory over chipping the branches. They are a huge PITA for me with the little "4 Wallenstein. Either way, it burns great and makes for some great cooking!

When your retired and on the well known fixed budget, Cost Price Value is always the driver in a purchase. If you are going to make your living with something that is one thing but if you are going to use it now and then something a bit less works fine.
Like SnapOn tools and Harbor Freight tools. They both will work just one will hold up longer and one cost way less than the other.
JMHO.

Sounds like you got a good deal after your research. Outstanding and well worth your time.
