That reminds me. About 10 years ago on a nice hot summer's day I saw a fellow hauling an acetylene cylinder in the back of a small car and it was laying flat and rolling back and forth. The guy must have felt that leaving the rear gate up a little would save him and maybe it did on that day. My welding shop has photos posted that showed cylinders that let go while inside vehicles. Not a pretty sight.

Same pics here at the local gas place.

In fact they wont load in a car at all. Only trucks, and you have to have a way to secure it.

Here's another. These guys just made it up a 2 mile 5% grade with this outfit and are heading down the 3 mile descent of the other side of the ridge. The combine cab is occupied BTW. Where else would he ride, after all, if he rides in the combine cab, he gets to pick the radio station...

On the bright side, they did have a pilot car escorting them.

Saw this genius on the commute home tonight. There's at least eight jerry cans on that carrier.

It's just amazing the things some people do without thinking them all the way through. If every one of those cans are full of gas, and he gets rear ended, they might be able to identify his remains, after the FD puts out the fireball.
