Cross Referencing O-Rings

I need some o-rings for my backhoe (Kioti 2376), is there a way to figure out the size of an o-ring so I can find generic o-rings?
In some cases Kioti does not sell or list part number for some of the O-rings I need, rather an entire "sub assembly" totaling hundreds of dollars, when all I need is the O-ring.
These for for inside my nimco control valve assembly.

Northern tool will have a sizer that looks like a cone and 1 for thickness. But you need to know what they are made of too.

There are several charts online. It is the inside and outside measurements that determine size. Auto and tractor supply stores have size charts as well as hardware stores.

Joel, my Kubota backhoe uses a Nimco valve also. Not sure which o-ring you need but a Kubota dealer can give you a blow-up of the valve assy. For what it's worth Kubota pt#04816-00120 was used in all of the spool valves. If you need the wipers, the part is RB401-70510. Hope this helps.

I had two Kubita b6000e's loved those machines!

Had one with original loader and then mounted a frame mount backhoe that machine was cool

I even had the pto reverser, original finish mower and tiller.

Just took a closer look at packaging of o-rings I purchased from dealer. They are labeled with size, 17.1x1.6-70.
Just ordered 25 on ebay for $15 delivered, versus almost $8 per from dealer. It was killing the dealer to charge me. Now I have all I need. How to figure out other sizes within the assembly, I've reached out to Nimco but no answer so far will try again.

You are figure out the o-ring size from 2 measurements: the ID and cross section. Google o-ring chart, to cross reference from measurement to standard sizes.

Many places sell cone measurement tools to figure out the size.

Lines on the cone give standard sizes (ID) and notches on base find cross section.

That 17.1x1.6-70 is a metric o-ring. 17.1mm ID, 1.6mm cross section and 70 durometer.

Careful with ebay o-rings. Need to make sure the material is compatible with hydraulic fluid and durometer is close.

I have found it to be worthwhile to buy o-ring kits. They are pretty cheap compared to just buying a few o-rings.

SAE o-rings come in - (dash) sizes. I bought a kit that has the -1xx and -2xx sizes. I think each kit was only like $15-$20

I ended up using an 0-ring from an assortment I had purchased a bit ago to reassemble my backhoe

Solved my problem at least for the time being

I will find size of exact match as the factory o-ring is a bit flat sided rather than perfectly round edged
