Try hooking one root at a time and giving a bit of a pull so the stump is being twisted in a circle and watch to see where the ground moves. Then go dig out that root then try the same thing again when the stump starts moving a bit just keep wiggling it try from different angles and soon it will pop out. Straight on approach works better with big machines.

I would try this first ^^

Another idea is to make an A frame out of heavy pipe, hook a chain over the elevated frame, and pull horizontally and the A frame will give leverage and change the horizontal pull to more of a vertical vector.

Tried this just now, nope.....It didn't budge. Tried from two angles, I'm going to go back out after lunch and try again from around the back. If it doesn't work, not sure what I will do. Might just dig deeper around it to loose some more soil and hope the weight plus me pulling at it will break it loose.....Wish me luck, because this stump is whooping my azz!

The trick is don't saw the tree off to start with. Dig around the base like you have, cutting as many roots as possible, then reach as high up the truck as you can with the front end loader and push the tree in the direction you want it to go. This uses the weight of the tree as leverage on the stump.

LOT less work.

Always have patience and dig out as much as possible then just like a miracle they all of a sudden come loose.
The roots under those type of sumps are holding plenty of dirt I always dig under the stump as far as possible when they are very large for the size of my machine.

WELL WELL WELL!!!!!! Success!!!!!

I got the darn thing to break loose, learned a few things in the process. Next stumps will be drilled soaked with some flammable agent and then set fire too and left to roast for 48 hours. Then I will dig at them and hope to break them apart and pull out in pieces.

Got it flipped over and working on knocking the dirt off the bottom as best as I could.

Picture of it in the front next to the rest of my logs that I am figuring out where to put them.

Happy kids now that the trampoline is available again to be used.

You have the benefit of having lots of projects that require seat time on the tractor. I finally got my road dialed in so well, it takes very little maintenance. I am kind of disappointed in my reduced seat time.
