Most Useful Minor Additions to Tractor

A lot of great ideas, For me it has been the HF quick connecting hitch in the back for all of the implements. Third valve hydraulics and FEL lines for snowplow swing and bucket grapple function. Snow plow Bucket grapple Grab hooks and tie loops on bucket. The QA bracket I built to hold the snow plow, 2” receiver, and log boom. Flashing yellow beacon for those snowy early mornings clearing the lane. Boat style swinging beer holder Front tire chains for plowing.

What you choose to do with your own equipment is your business. My only hope is that someone else doesn't get hurt from your decisions. It may be fine but then again it may not. Just because you chose to take the risk does not mean it's a good idea to promote it for others. Let's just be clear using off-the-shelf schedule 40 black pipe in hydraulic systems is not a recommended practice. If you feel it's OK for you and you're happy with it good for you. but please don't promote this for others. My concern is that someone is going to run down to their local Menards or pipe supply shop and load up on Chinese pipe and fittings and start plumbing there hydraulics with it without the proper knowledge that they need.

How do those attach?

Would you be able to show details there?

I'm wondering if we could use those on our baby tractor.

Thanks,
Thomas

To be honest, they aren't attached yet, just mocked up. I bought all the mounting hardware for them and just need to build the tube mounts to weld to the loader mounts. I've been wanting mirrors since day one but didn't like the cheap mirrors that everyone uses. I prefer to keep everything kubota as much as possible. I'll have a build thread on my tractor at some point with more details. Im hung up on the left side mirror though.

Aaron,
Did you read anything I posted?? ,,,14,000 PSI burst pressure. ,,On the chart???? If I had deep pockets maybe I would agree. JMHO. You guys are everywhere. Cold or hot relief PSI is relief PSI. Your L3830 or anything else does not change the Physics of anything. BTW running the cylinder in and out is nothing when I checked it the limit is hitting max relief pressure. But you know that.
I was pointing out that it is not uncommon for my L3830 to go over the working pressure of your schedule 80 pipe just turning the snowblower chute (from watching pressures in the few times I have run it since I installed the gauge) and that's just live pressure, that's not accounting for the pressure changes that will be seen for example with fully loaded loader running across bumpy ground (where the rod end of the cylinder is at system relief pressure just to lift the load and bumps are adding pressure spikes to that).
As for using working pressure vs burst pressure, there is a reason they call it working pressure and how high it is for 1/2" schedule 80 depends on the manufacturer. Wheatland uses 1600PSI WP for threaded 1/2" NPT schedule 80 pipe: Sucuri WebSite Firewall - CloudProxy - Access Denied
As for having deep pockets, it looks like you have 6-7 90s and a 45? At surplus center with USPS shipping, that's a little under $42. How much did you save going with schedule 80 fittings?

This^

Is it OEM, or an add-on?
I am wondering if I could add them to our loader for the same reason, and whether it would work on it...
They are OEM.
If adding them, I think you might need to move the upper cylinder mount point up or use a shorter cylinder to account for the changes in geometry.

What you choose to do with your own equipment is your business. Correct. What you choose to do with your own money is your business. Correct

You would love my 40 year old log splitter.

Add a safety screen to your ROPS to protect your backside when mowing. It's easy and inexpensive. A piece of expanded metal screen and four hose clamps. Also a handy place to hang a magnetic cup holder.

Also, add a 2-inch receiver hitch to your FEL bucket. Just weld two 5/8" bolts to the bucket and weld a plate with two matching holes to the receiver. Makes it easy to attach things like my 10-ft wide weed wiper.

Good luck

Thought I would share how I mounted the mirrors on two tractors. The brackets are actually left over garage door brackets from the door openers that had accumulated over the years.
