I think all anyone has to do is read the chart. Even if you think my 36 years of working in the field is BS
I am not going to just throw money away because someone with limited knowledge wants me to spend on something I don't need to.
We are falling way off the OP question here. Have a good night.

Just one more thing - where can one get Double Extra Strong Wrought Steel Pipes and how expensive is it? A quick google search didn't show any prices.

SNOWBACK- Have one on my tractor too- ( looks like the same one- on sale a couple years ago at TSC for $10.00) but had to put a couple coats of TOOL DIP plastic/ rubber on clamp to keep from slipping on wheel.

I like a spinner but I like the palm style instead of the grab style. Fits closer to the wheel and has a big knob on it.

I have NO bad thoughts about anyone using a spinner, they are cheep enough that people can try them and if they don't like them that won't feel to bad taking it off. I just wanted people who have not tried them to know that not everyone likes them. Ed

Since you seem determined to have the last word, and I don't know what your professional background or working history is. I also got some material and ideas from a friend/ next door neighbor who is a scientist that managed turn updates on BP refineries, He also said I would be fine? . I looked at your suggestion of Surplus Center ( never knew of them before) and it would be $33.30 for parts and shipping on top so yeah not to much money and I hear you but you can't get the high pressure 6" nipples I used. Then add shipping. My goal was to use off the shelf hoses.
I never said anyone else should do what I have done, but it is working and in the old days all of the machines used standard pipe fittings. But your right and I pointed it out that when the pressures go above 2,500 PSI then it all changes. Those old tractors were most around 2K PSI or less. So I am done with this argument but I knew it would come if you look back at my posts. Always someone who thinks they have the only answer even if they don't. Nature of forums.

murphy, never saw a palm style spinner? Got a link?

I have a spinner on the Gator. Lets you drive with one hand so you can hold on to your beer in the other. :drink: I took it off the tractor after it tried it. The Gator has fixed steering so it is always in the same places. The tractor's wheel is always changing where it starts and stops because it is powered by the Hyd system. Just did not need it. But if you like them there great. We had them on all of the old tractors when I was a kid on the farm.
The JD model 55 combine, and then the JD 6600 combine after that, both spun the steering wheel in a full revolution about every 5 minutes. A steering knob would have been totally useless.
But on the Farmall Super C, it was awesome.

Just added something else that some may find useful. I used to keep a hatchet buried at the bottom of the toolbox on my old tractor. Always seems like when I needed one in the woods I would never have it with me. After doing some research on the multiple benefits/uses of the Woodsman's Pal, figured I would give it a go. Great tool and an old design/use that dates back to WWII. Lashed it to my ROPS for easier access.

And it also fits in with the "deerslayer" image. Lol.

Too funny...hadn't thought about that. Then again, a pic with a buck hanging from my FEL might really paint a picture

Re: suicide knob, I am another one on the for side. I had one on my Farmall 'C' which had no power steering and now it is on the Kioti. I don't like them on the big truck nor on my Jeep.
