To be honest, they aren't attached yet, just mocked up. I bought all the mounting hardware for them and just need to build the tube mounts to weld to the loader mounts. I've been wanting mirrors since day one but didn't like the cheap mirrors that everyone uses. I prefer to keep everything kubota as much as possible. I'll have a build thread on my tractor at some point with more details. Im hung up on the left side mirror though.

Thanks- well when you do figure it out, please post your results, and if I figure something out, (doubtful at best, though) I'll post mine.

They are OEM.
If adding them, I think you might need to move the upper cylinder mount point up or use a shorter cylinder to account for the changes in geometry.

Thanks, I figured that might be the case- & thought that maybe the shorter cylinder would be the easier and more affordable route.

Time to look into parts sourcing....

No doubt Silvertramp and dieselcrawler... That could really hurt. Perhaps try one of these for just smooth ground operation, and then fold it in for the rough stuff? I almost lost my thumbs a few times while running old water trucks up and down really rough pipeline spreads up north while a teenager. You can train the new guys by taping their thumbs to their index fingers. Kinda weird, but it works.

Ed of all trades - I hear you on how easy the hydro steering us. I agree. I also think you'd be surprised how you might not be able to live without a spinner on a hydro steering machine. It really is the best application for them and just makes everything better. Super finite control, no guessing where to put your hand, way less effort, etc... You can always use your heel of palm still, but I doubt that happens much once the spinner is on. Not criticizing your valid current method, but wanting to share a way to make your whole world better! These honestly should be standard equipment in my opinion. Good luck!

I have driven a few tractors that have had spinners installed and did not like them and if I got a new tractor today that had one on it I would take it off. To me they are always in the wrong spot and if I moved it to the right spot it would be in the wrong spot 2 min later when I faced a slightly different turn. If you like them that is fine but it is not as wonderful to everyone as you think. I have spent days raking hay on a tractor with one and days on a lawn tractor that had one. My opinion is based on time spent with one on the tractor and I like it without. Ed

I would have to agree.
I have used a spinner on a little lawn tractor and loved it for that (made lock to lock turns really fast), but on something that has power steering, I haven't found a need for it.

Thank you for clarifying Ed and aczlan. I fully respect yours and other's opinions on this, especially knowing that you have tried both with and without. I cannot argue with the personal experience of those who have tried and not liked spinners. We all simply have different likes and dislikes on things like these.

Dad had a love for bias ply tires that I will never fully understand. His '74 F-350 road like a tank, but none of us could get him to switch to radials. He probably retired a few years earlier than he could have if he'd spent extra money on radials. I respect that too... Take care!

Hey Snowback ........ I've got the spinners on all my tractors both with power steering and without. Makes operation much easier.

I like a spinner, right hand on joystick, left hand on spinner.

The spinner came on the steering wheel of the V417 and I added one to the TORO.

Run spinners on most of my tractors. Had a set up one on a farmall c and still worked nice. Have a old wooden one on my Allis and also so nice to use when running 3pt equipment.

I wish I could tell you guys what my cousin calls them but then I might be kicked off the forums

I have a spinner on the Gator. Lets you drive with one hand so you can hold on to your beer in the other. :drink: I took it off the tractor after it tried it. The Gator has fixed steering so it is always in the same places. The tractor's wheel is always changing where it starts and stops because it is powered by the Hyd system. Just did not need it. But if you like them there great. We had them on all of the old tractors when I was a kid on the farm.
