Ditto-- that sounds like a great price on a great tractor. If your dealer's being honest, and he really needs to unload it to "make room" for the new ones, which is indeed a possibility, I'd jump on it.

Do, however, check it out closely; are the hours really those of a "new" tractor? Any visibly rusty areas? Do the tires still have all their casting **** sticking out?

I like Clipse's idea-- "Give them your money and run like you stole it…"!

I think the exchange is about 40% so it's about 12K loader and backhoe and MMM mulch

Having read your 1st post and now this one, I am guardedly optimistic for you.

So to summarize and verify:
1. New Massey GC1710 tractor (2014 or 2015 model)
2. Massey DL95 or Dl100 loader
3. Massey CB65 or CB05 backhoe
4. Massey 2315 mulching deck mid mount mower
5. Full new unit 5 year warranty

And the price is $18,500 in Canadian dollares or is that US dollars ????

Can you confirm this is correct ?

If the price is in US dollars its a fair price with some discounts included.

If the price is in Canadian dollars then its well below his cost and would not be fair to call it a good deal . . . it would be a stunning shocking price that will never be repeated or matched. In my opinion.

My optimism for you is great . . but I have a single question of concern . . .If the items I listed are all part of the deal and the price is in Canadian dollars . . . then why would a business owner choose to lose money? Make no mistake . . He isn't reducing his profit . . He is absolutely losing money.

Don't forget that dealers purchase these machines, and pay interest on them until they sell... The dealer may need to clear it off of his books.

If the dealer had a warehouse of these sitting for a long period and no activity . . a dealer might reduce his profit level or might even be willing to sell something at his cost. But that doesn't appear to be the case here. Its his only remaining unit and more are coming in implying sales are quite good.

The dealer would appear to have no reason to choose to deliberately lose money . . . he's also poisoning his future sales . . . Because prospects/customers are going to find out. Heck, the sale isn't even completed and already the Kiotti dealer and his staff know about it. . . as would the employees at the dealership. What salesman at the dealership is going to want to sell prospects at 22,000 or 23,000 to their friends when the owner sells to a complete stranger at 18,500 ?

Like I say . . if everything is on the up and up I'm glad for the op . . . but it defies reason. When something is too good . . an abundance of caution is needed . . especially when French speaking and English speaking could confuse things further. Jmho

Exactly! And this why I put a 1000 $ to hold it for a week or so to research And figure out what exactly the situation is. It was the owner and spoke perfect English. It was last yrs model but new, it was 18,500 $ with the backhoe and loader, the MMM was extra 2500 or 3200. I called the kioti only cause I'm a regular customer there and taken alot of his time with kicking the tires. I told him "I would eventually getting a tractor (my 1st) and from him" . But a deal this amazing (possibly)I had to tell why I'm most likely going to the competition. The massey dealer did ask me to keep the price a quite, not that you guys mention it. But didn't overly stress it or even stress it at all really, just a kinda of passing remark. He did say that in my home town there's alot orange around and no red. When I ask about this yrs model he quickly said "oh that one 25, 500$"

I am away on vacation, I looked at it the day I was leaving, but to my recollection yes to all except the MMM, that was extra. Fortunately myself and the owner where both going on vacation so it bought me some time.

I would go back to my earlier assumption that the dealer is tired of paying on that unit (old stock) and wants it off his books. I remember a dealer telling me before that when they buy units up front, they finance it... And usually they have very low rates for the beginning of the terms, but the rates increase after a certain time frame. If that's the case here, he probably wants to pay back the purchase before it costs him even more money.

If everything checks out as stated, I think you will regret it if you pass on this deal. Where I live, you couldn't get anything near that kind of a deal.

Whats the name and number of the dealer? Ill put 2K down until I can get there. 18k CAN is about 12K to me....heck my 2010 2410 I can get 12K for still. Kidding, my 2410 is all I need and its just about paid for.

Exactly! I was just kinda looking around. But it sounded too good to be true, so I put a 1000 on to hold it. Thanks everyone for the input.
