My Millonzi has serrated teeth but I've never found them to be a problem. Perhaps my serrations are more shallow or less sharp than others. I've never used a grapple without serrations.

The 48" WildKat that I sold had serrations but as you suggested, they were more shallow and not as sharp. I didn't have a problem dumping anything with it.

If you need them, the sharp and deep serrations would come in handy with logs and bigger stuff.

I rather like the sharp serrations for getting under the larger roots applying upward pressure and backing up to cut the root. They work like a saw.

Today I was using the grapple for moving some demo material.. some huge chunks of maple trunk about 40" in diameter or more and some pieces of block and concrete..... I found that the bottom tines WILL bend if forced or using a lot of push.... It was not major and I could straighten them ok. BUT I was suprised that they will bend. Maybe too much tractor?.... I can weld them up with some fish plates like the top tines if it becomes an issue. I did not want a real heavy grapple and end up losing the lift capacity. I tink with a little care it will work ok. I di Email HLA about anyway, see what they say.

Interesting, I had not thought of that. Cool idea.

Having said that I am not sure I would like the static cling effect of sharp serrations. But I don't dig roots as much as move things.

My Woods has rounded serrations and they seem to grab roots really well.

What are you talking about, there's tons of work going on in that pic.
Yeah. I saved myself weeks of work cleaning up about 10 pine trees, 2 oaks, and 1 huge maple tree worth of that crap while only putting 15 hours on the tractor.
