I always buckle up in the car or the pickup, before I start the engine!! With the tractor,
it depends on what I'm doing. When snowblowing with the rear mounted snowblower,
NO! Even on flat ground I use the belt on the tractor in certain instances, since there's
always the possibility of a potential sink hole or a large soft spot, which can quickly
alter the cg of the machine.
A "sink hole" in the "granite state"?
How does THAT happen?
Same here but add never wear them on motorcycles, boats or lawnmower either. I actually removed the ROPS from my ZTR mower because it kept scarring up my trees and I didn't want to remove the low limbs yet. I ran the ROPS on the lawnmower till I tried all the hills at various angles and determined that no way was the mower going to tip, it would slide sideways before rolling or loose traction if climbing straight up a hill before tipping. I wont wear them on tractor or RTV due to minimal rollover threat but I always wear them in automobiles which includes my truck and class A motorhome. I have been a faithful user since 1971 when as a passenger I sustained a broken neck from a near head on collision. I don't think I would have had a scratch had I been wearing seat belt and the shoulder harness that was on the 1970 Ford Torino which I think was the first of its kind in a passenger car. All passengers get buckled in before I move and I also encourage any driver that I may be a passenger with to buckle up if for no other reason than to shut up that dinging bell.I do in cars, trucks, and airplanes. Never wear them or the Ranger or Tractors.
