I have read so many sad stories about about buyers remorse. Not as much about the machines themselves but where they bought them. I just purchased a brand new Mahindra MPower 85 P from my local dealer. Although I have owned a lot of heavy equipment, this is my first tractor. I was first looking at a smaller tractor with the HST transmission. The salesman talked me into a shuttle shift stating the HST wasn't as strong as the shuttle shift. When I mentioned that I would be doing mostly loader work I didn't want to shift from forward to reverse having to use the clutch 500 times a day. He said the shuttle shift is what I really wanted as I would not have to use the clutch to shift between forward and reverse. Two weeks later, after having a third function valve installed for the grapple bucket I also purchased (that leaks) they delivered the tractor to me and much to my dismay, I needed the clutch to shift into forward and reverse!! I immediately called the salesman and said this is not what you told me it was and he said "I will look into it and make sure it is functioning properly". I went to the dealership after many more conversations with the salesman still agreeing that this is not what we talked about and me saying I appreciated him being a man and admitting that, to make a long story short, he has now changed his tune after I called Mahindra and they said it is between myself and the dealer and they would not get involved. Two weeks later and I still don't have my grapple bucket, there were several issues with the tractor that I reported and sent pictures and still have not heard a word from Mahindra or the dealer. Guess I'm stuck with a $55,000 lesson...
