I humbly apologize to any one I have offended by my remarks in an earlier post

T.J.

Terry,

I had to gp back thru the posts to understand why you were apologizing. It seems from your earlier post that you became an advocate for the OP before any of us actually know the other side of the story. But this isn't something any of us haven't been guilty of and experienced at one time or another also. While any of us want to support one of our own . . . we all need to ask more questions to verify the basis of our opinion viewpoints.

I'm sure others are awaiting more information from the OP just as I am. At that point we'll be able to have a better idea if the OP assumed too much about the delivery committment or was appropriately justified.

I wouldn't hold your breath on that one.

It was to be picked up from another dealer who had it in stock. I had an angry reaction at first as my current mower is broke and my yard is becoming overgrown as well as having a drainage issue I need to start fixing. But I will wait a week, not a big deal in the long term. Yes, it was a small tractor but the price should not make a difference on customer service. If that is the case they should no longer sell small tractors. They did call and apologized for any inconvenience saturday.

Well, that makes me feel a little better, but not enough to buy there again, unless they offer 25% discount on my next purchase of some maintence item's.

Hi,

Things happen sometimes but they definitely could have called for sure. A couple of years ago I bought a very slightly used NH Boomer 29DA from a large dealer a couple hours north of here. This dealer not only sells NH but also Hyundai and Terex and does construction equipment rental, paving and asphalt milling. So I go to the credit union, fill out the wire transfer papers before 3 P.M. Friday afternoon and the tractor is promised for Saturday delivery. Saturday morning comes and goes-no Boomer. Dealer calls and says they didn't get paid even though the money has left my account, it will not be in his till sometime Monday when the computer updates at the Credit Union. Dealer says he needs a fax from the bank that the transfer was successful and he is happy. Driver left Bangor, Maine at 3 A.M. Sunday morning and at 5 A.M there was a Peterbilt 379 with 48' Talbert parked in my driveway with the tractor he had promised would be delivered yesterday. I was and am still very happy with both my dealer and New Holland. If I need a part Monday and it is not on the shelf, it is here at the dealer from the NH/Case parts distribution center next day, regular freight, every single time from both of my NH dealers. I could not ask for a better relationship with both my equipment provider or my two dealers. Very happy!

Brian

I like these kind's of dealer story's, sounds' like they went the extra mile, at 5 AM, I'd be still in bed dreaming about having a Boomer.

Sorry for the delayed reply. I have been busy with a new born daughter. Dealer dropped it off and explained more to the situation. I guess we all have family situations that affect our business or work life so I probably overreacted due to my excitement. I have been putting about 10 hours a week. Mostly on grading dirt for a new water line, mowing, moving wood from cutting trees, grading driveway, etc. It has been real rainy and so have not used the backhoe much. So far the following is my review. I will try and post a full review in the next couple of weeks.

Power: Excellent. Brakes loose traction on the tires when pushing a lot of dirt before bogging down. Does not bog down with wet really tall grass. Amazing the difference in this diesel compared to my "25 hp" residential zero turn.

Front loader: I have used the front loader even more than I thought i would so far. It is the DL95. Very impressive. With safety in mind, I do not think I would want a more powerful FEL on this size tractor. Very powerful realitive to the tractor size. Hydraulics work very quickly even at low rpm.

Backhoe: Like I said I have not used much. Will review when used more. It is the cb65 with 12 inch bucket. I will say, the couple hours I have used it I am impressed.

Mower deck: cuts great. I also find the height controls to be nice and work well. Mower is very smooth.

Pros: love the cruise control. Use much more than I thought I would. Tractor is relatively quite. More so than any gas mower I have had. Fuel efficiency is great. I have been using about a gallon every two hours. As mentioned good hydraulics. Never use this word, but for aesthetics, it is a gorgeous tractor.

Cons: I broke the light off. May have been driver error but went up against some brush and it came off. Not really a big deal though. It only came with one key. It would be nice to have two in case I have it on me and my wife needs to use it when I am not home. With ROPS down the top link on the 3pt hit the rops when putting at full height.

Mine came with 2 keys. I'd mention it to the dealer myself. I have noticeable key chain fobs because I'm always misplacing the key. Lol.

I heard they don't have individualized keys ... Easy to get a new one, dealer ought to kick in for that. Mine came with two also.

Get more than two keys. It's a tractor. Unless you only have a small area of where the tractor will be keep a key near where you park it/store it, that way you don't have to have it in your pocket all the time.
I hated being down at the shop, have my mind jump to something that I could use the tractor for, then have to walk 100 yards to the house for the key.

It shouldn't be like my VW key that comes with a FOB and costs $100.
