Getting rid of old gas.

I wouldn't use bad gas, just cause I didn't want to waste. It already has been wasted. If the car ran bad, you probably got bad mileage too. Not to mention clogging injectors, which is waste.

All you did was get rid of it. You saved little, and risked more. Stroked your ego, that you stuck to your beleifs us all.

You and Jeff should start a "charmers" club! :drink::laughing:

I was trying to be delicate.

Gotcha. It's the Boston version, without the R. :D

Gentlemen:

The appropriate term in polite society is "backdoor breeze."

Helped a friend clean up her dad's house after he died. I ended up with several gas cans that she couldn't use. The gas is at least 18 months old. So I am using about a quart to half gallon every time I fill up the Bad Boy.

Does anybody see any problems, have another solution?

A line in the sand and a match.

Fire starter for brush piles and cleaner every now and than.

Be very careful with using to light fires. The fumes and the blow torch effect. If the light ends are truly gone it is OK, if not it can be real dangerous.

I would use it for less expensive engines, lawn mower, log splitter, etc. rather than risk an expensive to repair pickup engine.
Note that gas is heavier than air and if you use it to start a brush pile, stand up hill or up wind when lighting.

If you are going to use gas to start a fire which I do not like to do, wet a stick large enough to toss and standing as far away as you can toss that lite stick, light and toss it and you stay back.

The real fun is re lighting a fire with a gas can. That can get wild.
