One thing that concerns me is the exposure of the battery on the 1025r when snow blowing. Has anyone heard any problems? Vids I've seen on YouTube the front of the tractor is covered in a thin layer of snow from the wind.

Tractorhouse.com has 154.......1025R tractors for sale. Prices vary from low of $ 8,000.00 to high if mid $ 20,000.00. If price is an issue.....and yes it is for most......look at a late model low hr. unit. They would still have warranty and would save u monies. One tractor only had 1 hr on it and was a 2016. Fastline is another outlet to look at tractors. Didn't mean to impune you with earlier reply......but to walk into 9 dealerships and price tractors.....their aren't that many within 40 miles of where I live. A lot of time spent that as a working man I don't have. Computer is my answer.

Patchnball brings up a good point.

If you have the money saved and are looking to pay cash for a tractor forget about getting a new off the lot tractor and buy a used one. The savings are substantial.

While tractors overall hold their value extremely well. Initially they take a pretty big hit and tough to move off the lot. Reasoning being. Just about every manufacturer offers 0% financing on new models but used models usually don't qualify for manufacturer 0% financing. When you figure in 0% for 60 months compared 5% on a used that is 4 grand cheaper for the same duration the 0% will end up being cheaper. A tractor a year or two old with a 100 hours or so will still have warranty left on it and most likely any issues it did have will have already been addressed by the previous owner.

It's all good. I'm looking into options some aren't to far from me. Used has always been somthing I like to see in person.

My 1025r was a lemon. Finally just traded it for a 2025r before the warranty was up. The 2025r's FEL action is the best of the 3: 4010, 1025r & 2025r.

The hydraulic screen is a monster to get at on the 1025r. I skipped it and just did the filter. One on the 2025r is like the one on the 4010.

Ralph

And this reads like one of the problems on buying used tractors. Neglected maintenance.

Didnt Deere raise the warranty on the power train to like 4 or 5 years? That is worth something.

Just remember the sweet deal goes sour in a hurry if you buy from a bad dealer.

Money is a big factor, but it shouldn't be the only thing you look at.

I wanted the 1025r, hydraulic lift 60d mmm, and 54" blower front mount with quick hitch kit and shaft ect.

11,250 was the cheapest i was quoted for the tractor. but that same dealer was charging 3100 for the deck.

3,900 installed was the cheapest i found for the blower.

Best out the door price i was offered for the package was $18,200 (Savage MN location) out the door before tax and highest was 19,500.

I'm trying hard to get a good deal and having some trouble finding the right price. Does anyone have any pointers in what to ask for and what to say to get the best price? Can I just buy each item at all the individual dealerships for the best prices?

Is there anything I missed in my quote? Need some help friends.

Dude, go to a Massey or Kioti dealer.

You are right. The zero interest and the fact that they have he best warranty out there convinced me. I looked for a used 1025R but some of the used ones were more expensive that what I ended up paying. I found a dealer who really sharpened his pencil.
