Box blade

   / Box blade #52
I bought my 5' box blade from Tractor Supply for about 500 bucks. I used it to clear and smooth some ROCKY land and hit stuff that stopped the Kubota L3400 dead in its tracks going down hill several times. From what I have read I may have just been extremely lucky it held together but it did. Other than that, post #5 of this thread sums up what I had to add.

Shorten the top link so the points of the rippers will dig in more. Lengthening is the opposite of what you want.

+1. Also, if your ground is very hard like mine, as someone else mentioned, you may need a good rain to soak in and soften it. During our dry summer months, my 720# ROBB will just drag across the top of the soil/rocks. If it were heavier I would have better luck at these times. Weight and the angle of the scarifiers are key.

I agree. The width of the implement doesn't mean a thing if it's not engaging the ground right. Next time you see a box blade being used, check to see if it has additional weight piled on top of it. Most of the ones around here do.

Agreed. You can also raise every other shank to increase pressure on individual teeth should help with ground penetration

the only way to have box scraper is with top and tilt and hydraulic rippers! once you have it you will never go back to the Other way

Yep. I have TnT and makes most any 3PH attachment a breeze to operate. And love the ROBB with no need for adjusting when changing from scarifiers to blade ops and back.
