It's ironic that this country of ours STARTED here and we have to deal with this.

Someone said, what would we be doing now if this were 1775?

The term "terrorist" was coined around a couple decades after our country was formed, but most likely you'd be committing acts of terrorism, and sooner or later, odds are the police and national guard would be agasint you, and you'd end up killing people who represented the government or be killed yourselves (you'd be labled radial nut cases who don't believe in listening to the law). Kind of like those ranchers out west who "took over" a BFE spot the feds had that really meant nothing other than the fact that they were doing something "illegal".

That's only my opinion what you guys would be doing now if it were 1775.

I would never advocate the loss of life over a cause.

Chances are you guys are going to take whatever the state dishes out to you and your rally will mean absolutely nothing.

Who was it that said "give me liberty or give me death."

I'm guessing if you have property and a home, and can take time to be on a internet forum, you have a means to make a living. For most at this time in our countries history, death or imprisonment isn't an option.

What I find so ironic is that it was the north east who led to fight for this countries independence from the king, and it was also the same area that pushed for civil war in our own country, which led to the federal governments power over states rights, yet it's the same area (north east states) who seems to be imposing more restrictive laws per the second amendment on it's own citizens.

This is a interesting quote "t rifles have been used on only two out of 779 homicides in the state in the past five years."

The problem with liberals which should really be called progressives is that their personal feelings and emotions dictate their actions as opposed to the facts in front of them. How many times have you heard a progressive say that if it saves one life it is worth it. If that is the logic used which apparently it is, you better wrap yourself in rubber and never leave the house. You should ban bathtubs, swimming pools, pointy kitchen knives, baseballs, cars, motorcycles and every thing else in the world (none of this is 2A protected). . The progressive thinks that if I do not have one then I do not care about you having one (semi auto rifle). Death is a part of life and no matter what you do people die. Progressives let the inner cities rot(look at all the wonderful places in MA) and need something to blame other than themselves. Progressives are like a cancer rotting this country one day at a time.

Small but significant correction. The northeast pushed for abolition of slavery. It was the south that decided to start the civil war.

Small but significant correction. The northeast pushed for abolition of slavery. It was the south that decided to start the civil war.

1 - It started on "southern soil"

2 - How many events would you like in our governments history where they forced an armed conflict?

On a sidenote, for some reason the North seems proud that the war was started over the abolition of slavery. The issue wasn't slavery, but federal rights vs state rights.

I also find it amusing that since Lincoln was killed, he is portrayed as some kind of liberator, when in reality, he was another mans terrorist. Lincoln also wanted to send all the slaves out of the US. For some reason the north has this thing about the civil war being a nobel cause about slavery. The fact is, even back then you had good people and bad people. There were just as many bigots in the north as there were in the south even during the mid 1800's. Heck, when did women get the right to vote?

I had to remind my boys after they watched the film "42" (about Jackie Robinson) that the north was just as prejudiced as the south when it came to the color of a mans skin, even close to a hundred years after the civil war.
