That's good to hear. I don't get wind that bad but being on to of a hill I get some good sustained wind.

I've got the Uncommon USA one also, very pleased with it. I was going to put an eagle on top, but they tend to catch the flag, so I went with the round ball instead.

Does anyone have a solar light on top of the flag pole to shine down on the flag at night?

Yes, My friend has the solar light with the eagle on top and 2 flags. Claims the light is very bright at night. Everything rotates around as the wind changes. He has 320 lbs of redimix in the base holding the PVC pipe and the pole sit in the PVC about 2'. I think he said his HD model is rated for 120 MPH wind.

I still haven't pulled the trigger yet, going to do it soon but have been busy. I think I'm going with the uncommon heavy duty 20' silver pole.

If you get a chance to go to Carlisle or Hershey where they have the big car shows there is usually an Uncommon Flagpole dealer on site. My friend bought his at the Syracuse Nationals Annual car show a couple weeks ago. Uncommon has discounted prices at those shows.

Bought mine in NC online, 24' AL shipped in a round tube. Came with pvc sleeve that gets concreted in the ground.
I go thru at least 1 flag a yr, wind shreads them. Wife just bought a new flag.

If you are going to make one, make a big one like this guy. It is 150' high with a 30'x60' flag.
