Kioti NX vs Kubota L

The one thing that I read may be a concern is lots of post holes. That is the one thing that takes getting used to with the newer style PTO's. I will say that the old two stage clutch system works really good with. The biggest thing to me would be dealer support and comfort in event of a problem. I am very happy with my Kioti and would not hesitate to buy another.

I too was initially underwhelmed by the HST+ on my L5740HSTC, but time has proven it to be great for me and worth every penny. The downside of course as mentioned is the higher cost. Price wasn't an issue for me as it was kind of a luxury purchase and there are no close Kioti dealerships, my brother had to go out of state for his. I don't think it can be honestly said one brand is better quality than the other, here are models of both brands for which I like and don't like, just going to be a personal choice. As many will tell you, put as much time in the seat as you can before purchase then go from there. Either way, you'll have a good tractor. I'd also look at the MX5200-5800 if you're going open station, it's the same size and doesn't have the HST+, much cheaper Kubota with a time proven design.

Plus 1 here....

Kioti is an excellent brand and is very rugged, dependable, and well made. If i was comparing an equivalent kubota and kioti, I'd go for the kioti every time. I would not pay the extra $ just for the brand name. My brother has a 2012 kioti and it is top quality and trouble free.

Starting to get some quotes in, looking like the NX is ~10K less than the L Kubota. I think that's inline with what I've seen others report, but just wanted to double check and see if that sounds about right.

sounds about right from my experience when I was buying.

BTW, I was torn between a Kioti and a Mahindra. I agonized over it for months. I finally decided on the Mahindra because it had a little more fel lift, and fit my barn better. I didn't have to drop the ROPS to get thru the door. I also knew the Mahindra dealer for 25 years, but not the kioiti dealer.

Dealer. Dealer. Dealer support. Especially for a less experienced owner. With that choice, go with the best dealer. Did I mention dealer?

Yes, you did.

Most of these machines never see the dealer after they leave the lot....

Parts can be obtained several ways...

Once the "bumper-to-bumper" warranty is over, the dealer comes out of the picture quite a bit.

Nope.
He'll have questions, need advice, comsumables. Then he'll be looking for attachments and "customizations." All things a relationship with a good dealer will help. ESPECIALLY after the warranty expires.

What is it, about once a week?... That someone get on TBN with the "help I went out of state to safe a hundred dollars on my tractor and now.... Sound familiar? Or how about the "help, I bought my tractor from this small dealer and not they've gone out of business/changed brands again and now no one close by can/wants to help me".

All just my opinion / my experience of course.

I've had my Kioti DK for 15 years 2000 + hours, never gives me any problems.
I never tried to sell mine, but as far as resale value. I've been watching the prices of the used DK 35's on Tractor House. Most listed are not much below the price I paid for mine new 15 years ago.

The thing that made my mind up, the only deciding factor once models of each specific brand was chosen.... Was to add the payments up. If you are not financing this is less of a concern. But Kubota's 0% made a tractor that was $9,000 more expensive cheaper over the life of the loan by $8,940.

There were reputable dealers of each around me with machines that people were happy with over all.
